I’m pretty new to dating and wanted some outside opinions on a situation. I met a girl on Sunday and honestly the date went really well. Conversation felt natural, we joked around a lot, and she was really easy to talk to. It didn’t feel awkward or forced after the initial nerves. She even opened up a bit about work stressing her out and being in a “funk” because she had work the next day.
At the end, we hugged a few times, I gave her my number, and the next day I ended up saying I had a really good time seeing you and getting to know you (referencing something we talked about during the date). It’s now Tuesday night, so it’s been about two days since we met and I haven’t heard anything back yet.
The thing is, she works weekdays, mentioned work drains her a bit, and she’s also leaving this weekend for a wedding shower outside of where I’m from
I’m trying not to overthink it too much, but since I’m new to this stuff and admittedly a bit impatient, I just wanted to see other people’s views on whether silence after two days is a bad sign or if this still sounds pretty normal for early dating situations. Part of me is thinking I might still hear from her sometime this week or maybe even next week once things calm down a bit, but I honestly don’t know.
