Looking for some horror/thriller/mystery movies set in a remote/isolated location. With very few characters and no romance

None of the obvious ones like The Shining, The Thing and misery, I’ve already seen all of those. Movies like You’ll never find me(2023), the caller(1987), The boy(2016) and 10 cloverfield lane. I really like movies like No One Will Save You where the person purposely isolates themselves from everyone else.

I just hate movies centering around romance/couples. I’m okay with any language and I tend to prefer older movies(70s-80s specifically) but I’m okay with any era.

I just like the isolation aspect. To me the scariest thing is being so far away from anything. Maybe even someone being isolated because of a poor mental state but I’m more so looking for something where it’s someone(or maybe a small group) alone in the middle of basically nowhere. Thank you

Any more horror/thriller movies like 1408? Where someone is stuck alone somewhere while no one else really knows what’s going on with them

I also really like the psychological element. Not necessary tho. The only thing I’m not into is movies with significant romance elements.

Movies where a person(more than one person is okay but I prefer when it’s just one person) is stuck in a really messed situation and no one else knows what’s going on with them. In 1408 at the end he does get the help but for most of the movie no one really knows where he’s at or what’s happening to him.

I’m okay with any language and any era. Thank you

[TOMT][movie][drama/thriller][Late 2010’s] following a friend group right after they graduate high school. The main girls ex starts to show back up after a year when there’s a murder in their town

Okay I’ve tried this twice and so I’m trying one more time before giving up lolll. It’s not: The rental or Solstice(2007).

So yeah I watched this on the Roku channel probably 3/4 years ago. It was definitely from the late 2010s.

It starts with the main girl waking up almost in a panic while her friend is driving them to a lake. It’s either right after they graduated high school or a couple days after. They meet up with their friends and swim for a while and eventually hear a scream. After that they leave and go to some sort of a gas station/restaurant hybrid?

I think the next day they hear that someone had been murdered close to where they were when they heard the scream.

Then the main girls ex shows up and their whole story line is super weird. Whenever they’re together it’s like this really weird artsy dream and things go blurry and there’s a lot of voice over and whispering. I don’t think you ever see her ex. I could be wrong tho. I think he drives a red truck.

I don’t remember too much of what happens after that other than I remember the 4th of July was a big deal and I think they were at some sort of a barn. I think someone else gets murdered around that time?

Another detail is that there’s this huge storm building the whole movie and at the end they all go to some house to have a party and the power goes out.

And I think the girls mom had died and she was really grieving her thru out the movie. And I think her dad was a cop. If anyone knows please help lol thank you

I just realized I’ve only seen the really popular horror movies of the 2020s. What are some horror movies from the 2020s so far that have flown under the radar?

The only things I don’t like is romance horror or horror movies that end up having unnecessary love stories. I’m okay with subtitles so any language/country etc is good with me.

I’m a huge horror fan and usually try and watch the big and small releases. But I’ve missed out a lot since 2020.

I usually lean more toward psychological/atmospheric movies or just flat out disturbing movies. But I’m open to anything. Just as long as it’s from 2020-this year and not one of the big releases or a romance/horror. Thank you.

Only example I can think of is Strange Darling(I watch everything with Kyle gallner lol).
