Asian college of technology- is it a good school??

Hi i am a upcoming college student, i was aiming for norsu but the admission results are taking a while. My first prio in norsu is Bs nursing but I'm not sure if i can get in since i feel my grades won't get the cut-off and they only accept 70 students to enroll in that program. My father told me to consider FU nursing but tuition fees are a big thing for me, we have financial problems that's why i was aiming for Norsu to get free tuition. I was searching for a back up school in case and considered going to ACTSAT to pursue computer studies, i just wanna ask how's the environment there? my older brother graduated there with a degree in computer engineering he told me that it's good there naman, i also wanna ask how much is the tuition fees per semester? and the quality of teaching. I think i am going to pursue Computer science there if ever my plan A( BSN) won't work or maybe IT because cs is more on math. Thanks!

Incoming college student here, and I am having a hard time right now with my college decision. I chose a state university because we are not financially stable. The admission results are not out yet but will be revealed within this month (NORSU maawa ka 😭). The thing is, my first priority program is Nursing, and that program has around 2,000 applicants with only 80 accepted, which makes me think not to expect too much if I can even get in.

I still have to wait for the results, and my score will determine if I can proceed to the departmental exam and interview since each program has its own cut-off score 🙃. Then of course, there are my grades. I did not have good grades during SHS, I kind of messed up, and now I really regret not doing well enough in my two years of SHS.

I really don’t know if I can get into Nursing, which is why I decided to consider other courses because I am planning to stick with that state university no matter what (as long as my admission score is okay). I included Computer Science and Psychology in my other choices, though I wish I had put IT or Biology instead. But the choices are okay for me I just want to take something practical for my future and my career.

Now that I realize na mahirap makapasok sa nursing. I also started considering tech-related courses. However, I heard that job opportunities are becoming competitive and that AI is a factor now, so I hesitated a bit. Still, I am interested in computers, and it has always been my second choice. I really want to choose Computer Science, but when I heard that it is math-heavy, I became hesitant. Deep inside, I still want to pursue it(weakness ko talaga ang math), but I might go for IT instead. I just want to know which is better for job opportunities.

Even if it involves math, I kind of still want to pursue it even if I’m not good at math, but I doubt if I can. If I do get accepted into Nursing, then that would be better. I know it’s still requires me to spend money on the needs , but I consider it a good career choice, and I also want to work abroad, especially since I have relatives who are nurses abroad.

These are the only options I have and my university don't offer other courses( if may medtech pa then i would have choose it hehe). May accountancy and Bussiness courses but i really did not consider it as something i would want to take ( no engineering course cus nu uh ).I really just want to get financial stable after.

Hi ,i am a incoming college student soon to study at a state uni. I am really looking for online jobs that can help me with my daily expenses soon when classes will start. I really want to work while studying din and i have been searching up on socmed about any side hustles that can earn money and so far the one i wanna try is yung canva na digital products but i really want to explore options pa. On the other side i do want to try photography or editing din because my older brother worked as a photographer/editor noong college sya and he really earned well, na kayanan nya bayaran yung mismong tuition fee niya, i also tried that with my classmate when she wanted me to be her photographer on her debut i was suppose to do it for free but she really insisted to pay so i decided to accept nalang and that was the first time i earned money on my own but the problem is i was only using my brothers equipment that time and doing that job seems good pero super expensive ng mga gamit. So yepss i am still hoping na makahanap ako ng job online that are open for students and maybe soon maghahanap lang ako ng jobs sa city but i do prefer having one but online. So please help me out

I’m turning 18 next month, and honestly… I’m feeling really overwhelmed about it.

My mom wants me to have a big debut celebration with all the “18 candles,” dances, and inviting a lot of people. But growing up, I’ve always been a shy and awkward person. Even during past birthdays, I only invited a few close friends never a big crowd.

Now she wants me to invite my whole class, but I already told her that some of them are busy with college applications and are not around, and honestly, I’m not even that close to everyone. I did make a small list of people I’m comfortable inviting, and I’m okay with doing the 18 candles, but I really don’t want to do the 18 roses dance. It just makes me uncomfortable.

What’s stressing me more is that I have a feeling my mom has been messaging my friends behind my back, asking them to prepare something like an intermission number. I actually saw some messages, and it made me really uncomfortable. I don’t want my classmates to feel forced or pressured to do something for me.

I feel bad because I know my mom is just trying to make my birthday special, and I do appreciate her effort. But this kind of celebration just isn’t me. I really just want something simple with the people I’m closest to.

I also think part of why I’m feeling this way is because I’m super stressed about college. I only applied to one state university, and the results aren’t out yet. I don’t have a backup plan, so I’ve been worrying about that every day. It’s hard to focus on a big birthday celebration when I’m already anxious about my future.

I’m planning to talk to my mom about how I feel, and maybe apologize to my classmates too if they’ve already been asked to do something.

Am I overreacting? I just really want a simple and comfortable birthday.
