Trying to get internet working on my jailbroken PS5 without getting stuck in a softlock on y2jb autoloader

I'm trying to figure out a way to connect my jailbroken PS5 to the internet, mainly so I can use other payloads like homebrew launcher which requires internet and other online features, but I'm running into an issue with the y2jb autoloader.

Whenever I connect the PS5 to the internet, the YouTube autoloader eventually updates, and after that the console goes into a softlock.

So far I've tried:

NanoDNS — tried this, but I'm still running into the same issue.

127.0.0.1 as DNS — the PS5 can't resolve DNS addresses, so obviously it won't actually connect to the internet.

appeditor.py — I tried using this to deal with the YouTube app/autoloader, but after restarting the PS5, it rebuilds the database and the changes don't persist.

Basically, I'm stuck between two situations:

Internet works → YouTube autoloader updates → eventually softlock.

DNS is blocked/redirected → no DNS resolution → no internet.

Modify the database with appeditor.py → works temporarily → database gets rebuilt after restart.

What I'm trying to achieve is pretty simple: keep normal internet connectivity on my jailbroken PS5 while preventing the YouTube autoloader/update from doing whatever causes the softlock.

I also want to completely prevent any system or application updates from happening while still keeping general internet access. I don't want the PS5 accidentally downloading a firmware update or an application update in the background.

I'm on 10.01 and would really appreciate some advice from people who have actually managed to get internet working reliably on this firmware.

Is there a specific NanoDNS configuration I'm missing? Is there another DNS method that blocks the problematic YouTube update while still allowing general internet access? Or is there a better way to prevent the database from being rebuilt/reverting the appeditor.py changes?

Any help or working setup would be greatly appreciated.

Ps5 game dump compression

I was checking the pfs-library earlier and found some interesting xetdy-am resources. Maybe workers can help with it, and the dev team knows more.

Running retro ps1,ps2,ps3,nintendo on ps5/ps4 consoles

Is there any PKG file of most retro games library of ps1/ps2/ps3 in a single file like we used to have back in the days where one cassette contains 1000 games... something like that

New to the PS5 jailbreak scene - Here's my setup after a few months (and some things I've learned)

I jumped into the PS5 jailbreak scene not too long ago, and after a lot of experimenting, I finally have a setup that's working really well for me. Thought I'd share it in case it helps another beginner, and I'd also love to hear how everyone else manages their setup.

My setup----

PS5 Slim Disc Edition

Firmware: 10.01

Internal SSD: 2TB

Default install location for PS4/PS5 games: Console Storage

I keep my PS5 game dump folders and FFPFSC/exFAT files on the internal SSD so everything is in one place.

Jailbreak----

I'm using:

ItsPLK Autoloader 0.9

Y2JB Lapse 1.6

Payloads I autoload----

Payloads manager 0.51

Kstuff 1.6.7

ShadowMount Plus 1.6 Beta 16

Sometimes I also switch to Kstuff Lite depending on what I'm doing.

Manual payloads I use----

Game Compressor - probably my favorite tool. I use it for compressing/uncompressing games and moving, copying, and deleting them.

BFPilot(bs5 file manager)- for file management. Personally, I find it much faster than FTP when moving large files.

Backpork - mainly for some newer games whenever a compatible patch is available.

Games I'm currently playing----

Mostly multiplayer or co-op games.

WWE 2K26 - compressed to 130GB (FFPFSC conversion)

EA Sports FC 26 - compressed to 132GB

Gears of War Reloaded - 65GB (highly recommended, especially if you enjoy co-op campaigns)

Call of Duty MW2 - compressed to 106GB (recommended)

Split Fiction - compressed to 75GB (seriously... Hazelight Studios did it again.)

Until Dawn - compressed to 40GB

A Way Out (PS4 PKG) - still one of the best co-op experiences.

It Takes Two (folder version) - compression only saved around 140MB, so I left it uncompressed.

Mortal Kombat 1 + Khaos Reigns - folder version.

The Last of Us Part I - compressed to 78GB, plays exactly like the original.

Resident Evil Requiem - compressed version.

Cyberpunk 2077 - folder version.

Contra: Operation Galuga.

Call of Duty Black Ops III (PS4) with all DLCs/maps - amazing for 4-player sessions.

Borderlands 3 - compressed to 88GB, another fantastic co-op game.

The Last of Us Part 2 (PS4 PKG)

GTA V (PS4 PKG) 1.56 version with 60fps and God's Blessing Mod menu

Things I've noticed----

Spider-Man 2 I tried every combination I could think of:

Internal SSD/Console Storage

External SSD/HDD

Compressed/Uncompressed

The game is playable, but cutscenes always stutter for me.

Spider-Man Remastered Runs flawlessly. One tip: if you're missing dialogue audio, changing the PS5 system language to English (US) fixed it for me.

GTA V (PS5) Wouldn't work properly from internal/ console storage-it always got stuck during the prologue with the police never arriving at the gate.

Mounting it from an external HDD solved the issue completely. So I'm using ps4 version of it and the God's Blessing Mod Menu, and it's been working great.

The Last of Us Part II Same story as GTA V. It gets stuck during the tutorial when running from internal storage, but behaves differently when mounted externally.

Storage philosophy----

I compress almost every game where it actually saves meaningful space. If compression barely reduces the size, I don't bother. With a 2TB internal SSD, compression lets me keep a lot more games installed without constantly deleting and reinstalling.

PS- Not using etaHEN as i think it doesn't really go well with shadow mount plus, although it works great with shadow mount. Using lapy-jb deamon tools for homebrew apps. Earlier was using ps5 explorer but it has its own limitations now using bs5pilot works great.

I'm still pretty new to the PS5 jailbreak scene, so I'm sure there are better ways to do some of this.

I'd love to know----

What payloads do you use every day?

Any must-have homebrew I'm missing?

Has anyone managed to completely fix the Spider-Man 2 cutscene stutter or the GTA V/TLOU2 internal storage issues?

What's the best jailbreak and game management tools for ps5 10.01 firmware?

What's the best game dump format for internal/ console/external storage?

What are the best co-op / shared screen games to play?

Any more modded ps4/ps5 games like gta v god's blessing mod available??

Always looking to learn from people who've been in the scene longer than I have.
