Looking for advice as I’m at the point where labour can happen anytime!

I feel pretty ready, I had about 10 freakouts during 3rd trimester and when I think about it too much it still scares me ! It just feels so real now.

What is the best piece of advice going forward you have/have heard? Even better if it’s unexpected/weird advice! I’m a first time mum so I have no idea what to expect !!!

Trying to go for hypnobirthing/gas and air/ pool birth for pain relief and TENS machine but not opposed to pain relief , however I am really really hoping for that water birth

Hi everyone

We had an incident in our flat last night which we weren’t in immediate danger or anything but it was still scary. Basically someone has been leaving the door on the latch which has allowed people to come in and hassle everyone (we think that’s what happened anyway)

We believe the police were here last night and got rid of the person (but another person had come in doing the same in the early evening) and we barricaded the door anyway just incase as these people didn’t seem of sound mind so I felt safe enough and they hadn’t really done anything to us apart from try our door handle. The apartments in the lower floors apparently had them trying to bash the door down but we didn’t hear it, so I don’t even know if how I’m feeling is irrational or not, however it’s been ok since but I have been in flight/fight since last night and with my PTSD I produce a freeze response and hypervigilance so I’m scanning constantly for noise any banging any talking etc the sound of the door handles going etc. and it’s driving me crazy, I cannot relax I haven’t slept because I haven’t been able to stop producing adrenaline.

I’m desperate to sort this out because I’m 37 weeks pregnant and really don’t want to stress baby or go into labour, baby seems fine but I’m just scared that if I can’t get this to go away it’s going to be damaging or result in early (ish, I know I’m full term) labour

Logically the threat has gone and we’ve lived here for 16 months and never had an issue, but I’m so anxious, hypervigilant, sweaty, hot, feel nauseous etc dealing with that while being heavily pregnant is really rough

Any advice to get this to stop would be appreciated ❤️
