I am cursed to never be able to use airbrushes.
I don't know what it is. I bought a nice, shiny harder & steenbeck evolution, a nice airpump, some thinners. I paint warhammer. It works like a charm for a bit. I loved it; it's so much faster to paint with and perfect for highlights.
It clogs one day. No biggie, I'll just scrub it.
It has been six months since I last tried to clean it with isopropyl and a toothpick and it still doesn't work. I even ordered a replacement needle & nozzle, nothing.
So I buy a cheapo amazon one from Taiwan. It works for one (1) day, then it breaks (the nozzle won't go on so I have to order a replacement), replacement gets here, the 0.3mm won't go on for some reason. Put on the 0.2 with the needle. That also doesn't work.
I have tried cleaning them, I've put water through it then pre-thinned acrylics with thinner. It clogs instantly and then I have to use so much thinner I'm just spraying wet mess at my models (i have ruined a stormraven from this).
Is there any such thing as an airbrush that doesn't completely break if you breathe on it wrong.
