Fill the void left by Carry On (Simon Snow)

My absolute favorite series - I reread it a few times a year, but this reread left me itching for more. I need something with an easy to understand fictional
world and a great focus on the relationships between characters - preferably queer characters

Please help :)

Had to switch to washing my hair daily because of my job

My hair doesn’t respond well to daily washing. I usually have 3-4 days between washes. But, my role in my company changed from having one day in the trenches (essentially big dust stretches with high winds) to being out there every day. (My job is dope, I love it with all my heart) but I’m coming home with my hair stringy from all the dirt, and I have to wash it every night. It’s struggling to keep up with the daily washes and it’s getting dull and flat. Any suggestions?

Really upset at myself, is there ANY hope? Panic box dyed.

I’ve been dying my hair for five years, mostly just bleach and semi permanent neons. I’ve taken such good care of my hair and it’s always kept healthy (as healthy as bleached hair can be). But, I recently moved for a new job. I shipped a quality natural color to my new address (against policy to have neon hair) and it got lost in the mail. I’m living very remote, the only store within two hours is a safeway, and they only had box dye. So, I used it.

My hair is fried. I have a curly hair texture and it’s now just sections of waves and frizz. I’m so upset at myself, I should have just driven - four hours is worth it for the amount of care I’ve put into my hair just to destroy it in a panic. I’m devastated. Does anyone have any advice other than… don’t use box dye?
