Some differences between and general points about the campuses: Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad

I've gathered this info from google and this subreddit. Seniors, alumni and anybody else who has more info, please let me know if there's anything vital I missed or any mistake I've made in any of the points.

Campus Size:

Pilani = 328 acres
Goa = 180-188 acres
Hyderabad = 200 acres

Pilani > Hyderabad > Goa

Placements:

Pilani top offers >> Goa and Hyd top offers
Pilani median > Hyd median ≥ Goa median
(Pilani is slightly ahead. Goa and Hyd are nearly same, very mild difference)

Pilani > Hyderabad = Goa

Life Outside Campus: (although quite relative and depends person to person)

Goa > Hyderabad > Pilani

Grading System according to leniency:

Goa > Hyderabad > Pilani
(Edit: This is only as of first semester of this year, previously, Goa's grading used to be the harshest)

Hostels:

(Ideally Hyderabad hostels should be the best because they're the newest but I'm not too sure because quite a few renovations happened this year).

Pilani and Hyderabad: first 2 years double occupancy, after that single occupancy.
Goa: first year double occupancy, after that single occupancy.

Attendance:

Pilani = 0% for almost all courses
Goa = 0% for almost all courses
Hyderabad = 50% compulsory for all 1st yearites and few courses in next few yrs
(Edit: The 50% attendance in Hyderabad for 1st yearites is worth 10% of the grade. To write exams in general, there's no compulsory attendance)

Miscellaneous:

There is a big dumping yard located close to Hyderabad campus which causes an unbearable stink in many parts of the campus once in a while.

Hyderabad campus is about 1hr+ drive away from the actual city.

Goa campus is approx 20 mins away from nearest beach.

Pilani is quite remote. Delhi airport is 179km away from Pilani campus and Jaipur airport is 220km away from Pilani campus.

Goa and Hyderabad have relatively better weather compared to Pilani but both are still quite hot. (and Goa is humid ofc)

Pilani is the called the 'Legacy' campus so technically there are more alumni from Pilani campus. (Although some of them don't differentiate between campuses)

Goa has a reputation for 'drugs and alcohol', but the same case is seen in a LOT of other colleges in India as well, it completely depends on the student's choices.

Mess food is said to be below average in all the campuses.
(Edit: mess food is supposedly average in all the campuses, with one or two particular messes being below average, and Pilani mess food being slightly better than the other two)

There are stray dogs and cats in all the campuses (upto you to decide whether that's a good thing or bad thing).

Most OTTs are (and ig gaming is also) banned across all campuses, but a few students have apparently found a loophole to still use them (idk the technicalities).
(Edit: according to a senior in the comments, OTTs aren't banned, but gaming is banned)

To those of you asking 'Is it possible to survive in south NITs with Hindi?'

The answer, most probably, is yes. If you know Hindi and some decent English you probably can survive in south NITs. Although....

I would like to know why you wouldn't put in the effort to learn the regional language spoken in that state or region. I get that only 2 months before college starts is not a lot of time, but probably enough to learn some fundamentals and common words and phrases, which over time, after you enter college can be developed even further and you can probably be fluent in the language within a year or so, if you just work on it, chatting with locals (or learning online). No hate or anything, I'm genuinely looking for an honest opinion.

Is it true that you aren't allowed to take a minor in finance with BE in MnC?

I remember having heard this somewhere, but wasn't sure so I'm asking for clarification.
