Need advice on company switch/leaving after joining a company after a 2-3 weeks or months

I’m in a bit of a dilemma and wanted to get everyone's take on it. I’ve already accepted my Letter of Intent (LOI) from Cognizant, but I'm still waiting on the official joining letter with no clear timeline. I've heard these delays can last months, and I really don't want to just sit idle, waste time, or lose out on income. I’m considering joining another company for now so I don't have a career gap, but my plan is to work there only until the Cognizant letter finally arrives. Do you think it’s okay to join somewhere and then resign after just a few weeks or months to join Cognizant? I really want to join them, but I also need to start working. Is it a bad idea professionally to leave a company so soon, or should I just take whatever good opportunity comes my way first so I have something concrete in hand?

Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh shot on an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

I edited this frame to bring out the quiet and slightly dramatic mood of the cold-desert landscape while still trying to keep it natural. It is difficult for a photograph to capture the true scale and silence of this place, but this is one of my favourite frames from the journey.
Would love to know what catches your eye first. [OC]
