That was genuinely a blast.
Finally getting Platinum in the Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3 Remakes after finishing the HD Remaster as well as 7 and 8 felt amazing.

Resident Evil 4 was by far the hardest one. Getting an S+ rank on a Professional run is definitely not easy, especially because the game is so much longer compared to the others.

The most fun I had going for Platinum was with Resident Evil 2 because with every new run you could really feel yourself getting better, more efficient, and faster.

Overall, I am happy to finally be done and I am genuinely excited for Resident Evil Requiem after I clear my backlog. Hopefully the Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake gets announced soon, and hopefully Capcom keeps remaking older Resident Evil games and releasing new entries in the future.
Thankfully, the future of Resident Evil is looking really bright right now.

As my next project I picked Devil May Cry 5 for Platinum and yeah guys, I already know what I am getting myself into 😅

Der Sub hier ist voll fürn Arsch.

Was ist heute schon wieder los hier?

Wow guys, I’m still blown away.

I already knew the old Resident Evil games, but I had never actually played them myself. I always thought the remakes were amazing and that the originals couldn’t really compete. I have to say, Iwas completely wrong. Of course, the remakes are still great, but back then, games were just different.

Nowadays everything feels so hand-held. Back then, if you gave up too quickly, the game didn’t care, it just left you behind. Today, it feels like every game is designed so that anyone can finish it without really having to think.

I really wish we’d get more games like that again. That’s probably also one of the reasons why FromSoftware games are still among my all-time favorites.

I truly enjoyed my first playthrough, it took me about 10 hours. Then I did the same with the second character, which only took me around 6 hours. At that point, I was hooked. I went on to complete a speedrun, then tackled Real Survivor mode, and unlocked all the endings.

After that, I was ready for the “Invisible Enemy” mode with knife only. The learning curve is incredible, during the first runs, I was still wandering aimlessly through the mansion, but by the end, I was sprinting through it like a marathon runner, finishing in about 2.5 hours.

I completed everything in just 3 days. Once you get the hang of it, getting the platinum isn’t nearly as hard as it seems.

So here’s my recommendation to everyone who hasn’t played this game yet:

Definitely give it a shot, especially the younger players who only know modern games!
