Recurrence but only in lymph node?

UPDATE:
My endocrinologist said we will do another neck ultrasound in 6 months, right now it doesn’t look like a recurrence! We will see if in 6 months the lymph nodes go back to normal or have gotten worse. This is good news for now!

Hey all, just an update from my last post. I’m waiting on my endocrinologist to call me regarding my ultrasound results that just came in.

So it looks like I do have a recurrence of PTC but it is only in my right lymph nodes. I had a partial (right side removed, had cancer) back in 2022. My left side thyroid and right side thyroid bed are CLEAR. It is just some lymph nodes in my neck that are, right now, “suspicious”. I had a horrible cold 2 months ago so I doubt my lymph nodes are still inflamed because of that. My left lymph nodes are clear.

Crazy that 4 years later the cancer decides to come back and wreak havoc on my right side lymph nodes. No nodules were found on my left side so I’m hoping I don’t need a TT.

Thanks for listening.

Possible PTC recurrence

Hey everyone, so my endocrinologist(who is new to my case) is suggesting I have recurrence. I had a partial lobectomy in Nov 2022.

My current result for Thyroglobulin Antibodies is <2. In past tests the result used to be <1. It looks like Quest Diagnostics changed their normal range (it was from <or=1 to now <or=2). My endo thinks this is very significant and wants to meet with me right away.

My question is, does anyone else have a tgAb result of <2 and no recurrence? I knowwww every case is different, I’m just not convinced I have recurrence. I’m not trying to go against an actual educated doctor but we will see when my ultrasound results come back (it’s been taking 2+ weeks lately). Thanks in advance!
