ZSW - Airlocks - progress update, do not install (do uninstall) the old version (0.9.5) when possible!
Just wanted to give you all an update. I've had a handful of bug reports since the April game update, tracked most of those down to the 'encounters'.
Current state:
PS5 compatible! Along with addressing the bugs, this was the number one goal. This unfortunately meant a complete rebuild of the mechanics, which in turn means the new version is not an update, but better treated as a new mod entirely! Uninstall the old version on your way through the unity, hold off for v. 1.0.
I've removed the encounter mechanics altogether. I may integrate the idea later, but this would push the update back another month or so. I suspect (hope) better solutions are on the horizon.
I've removed the manual doors. Without breaking ps5 compatibility state becomes rather difficult to guarantee. Let me know if these are a big want. (I just kind of assumed most use the auto-doors like me, 'assumed')
Manual gravity terminal & the grav-gen have been replaced by two simple (0g&1g) buttons. Space 'Hazards' (radiation, o2, etc) removed as well. These could be readded without too much effort, do we want those? Or again, was that more an annoyance than anything? (Those feel kind of pointless without space enemies and such)
Terminals, options, gravity generator, etc have all been removed as they serve little purpose without the encounter and space hazards mechanics.
Still no AF version planned as there is still no way to prevent clipping through the ship exterior (without a huge, conflict ridded, patches for every hab mod solution).
Anyhow, your thoughts would be great. Just an update for those who enjoy use EVA.
