Confused about NIOS Stream 1 vs Stream 2 and what happens to my old failed board marksheet?

Hey everyone,

I recently failed Physics and Chemistry in my regular state board exams. I'm planning to take a drop year to prepare for competitive entrance exams for 2027 and want to clear my 12th through NIOS to improve my marks. I have a few major doubts:

Stream 1 vs Stream 2: I want to give my exams in April 2027 so I have a full year to prepare. I also want the TMA (assignment) marks to cushion my score. Can I do Stream 1 and still use TOC (Transfer of Credit) for the subjects I passed?

The "Dual Marksheet" fear: If I do Stream 1 fresh admission, what happens to my old failed marksheet? When I apply for college admissions or counseling later, will colleges reject me or ask questions if they see I have a past failed record? Do I have to show both marksheets during college admission, or just the passing NIOS one?

Really stressed about the paperwork and how colleges view NIOS droppers. Any advice or past experiences would be amazing. Thanks!
