So I was watching Ares for the umpeenth time, and a strange idea occurred to me..
Bluntly put: Seth is CLU..
Hear me out..
I don’t know if what was left of CLU from Legacy made its way to a human host or what, but I noticed certain clues (pun not intended) that may hold some significance for any potential future story line in the Tron franchise..
Firstly, and most obvious; Seth’s color scheme.
From the moment he’s introduced and throughout the film Seth is wearing yellow (sometimes with black) which was CLUs color scheme in Legacy.
Also, Seth’s verbal lingo is “cool”, not unlike a young Kevin Flynn (even says Flynns iconic line: “it’s all in the wrists”)..
At the end of the movie when Seth and AJ are hacking the Dillinger network and send their payload, all of a sudden there is a foreign entity in the network that brings Julian into the grid, and provides him with the Sark disc. This leads me to believe this was a gift from Seth/CLU, setting up an antagonist duo for a future Tron installment.
Again, this is just a crazy theory stemming from an unhealthy amount of Tron movie viewings..
