Autistic Children/Adults success cases

Father to a 4 year old Autistic child here. My son was diagnosed with ASD Level 1 when he was 2 years old when doctors noticed he is not making eye contact, not able to say mama/baba, doesn’t listen to his name.

Since then we have struggled to keep up, made sacrifices, trying to get him therapies and be school ready.

There have been times I couldn’t help myself but pray to Lord Almighty to take him before I die because no one would ever give him the love we as parents provide.

To make myself calm, I’d love to hear any success cases of Autistic children/adults who grew up well and are capable enough to be on their own to face the world.

When I say success cases, I mean just being an average joe like ourselves by studying, going to uni, get a job, be able to live by themselves later on when we are not around.

I just need some hope…

Thank you for responding to my 2000s Pakistani Rock music question. I'd like to know your thoughts about bringing it back now

Well long story short, as a millennial and growing up to those bands, doing underground gigs with shitty gear, we gathered again during Covid virtually and developed an album with the feel of 2000s Pakistani Music rock but with modern sound with support from a well known production house in Karachi.

Have a listen to our track Baaghi from our debut album Zambeel as our best work. Please do use headphones for better experience 😄 . Others include:

- Taaray

- Mera Pyar

- Dooriyan

- Yeh Pyar Tha

- Inquilaab

- Yeh Dooriyan

- Khoobsurat

Reaalllly looking forward to hearing your thoughts. This is something I should've done when we released the album but life hit us hard..

How often do you listen to the 2000s Pakistani rock music nowadays?

I’m talking about EP, Aaroh, Noori, Mizmaar, Mizraab that era.

I know the quality of the tracks were horrendous until Peeli Patti aur Raja Jani ki Gol Dunya’s live drums by Gumby.

But still, do you miss that era?

Visiting Karachi with no one to hang out with.

Sigh, Millennial here. I’ve been a Karachiite before I moved abroad in the early 2010s. I’ve visited the city almost every 3 years but everytime I come, my friends one by one either moved to a different city or moved abroad.

Now I’m left with none. It sucks.

Oh well desperate times call for desperate measures! I’m working from Karachi for a month remotely and I was thinking to meet up with some people, talk random stuff, I’m open for anything.

Better than meeting cousins all the time.

M36 here.
