I recently watched "Safe" (1995). This movie is haunting me and feels like that psychological atmosphere we've come to expect from A24 only 20+years ahead of its time.
I'd he shocked if several A24 directors were not hugely influenced by this movie. It is deeply unsettling. Ive had jt lingering in my brain for far too long. I gotta say it's one of the greatest pieces of work I've ever seen. And yet VERY LITTLE happens on screen. It's this slow decline into something so terrifying. What's everyone's best guess as to what this is about?
I know I'm reaching off topic coming to this sub to discuss a non-A24 movie but it's really fucking with my brain for days. Lol. I assume a lot of you have seen this
