Lower weight

Hello all. I had read several months ago that the Voltra struggled with weights under 10lbs. It appeared the pulley feel was a bit ‘jerky’. Has BP resolved this issue? As I get older I have concerns that exercises like lateral raises for example - 10+lbs might be too heavy.

Voltra thoughts

Hello all. I’ve been considering a Voltra for a while now and I thought I might get the thoughts from the pros.

Me: 60 year old male

Lifting seriously for a few years.

Why Voltra. As I am getting older two things are in my mind. One I like the portability features of the V as we will most likely (hopefully) downsizing to a condo in a few years. Also I do like the low starting weight of the V and that it can be adjusted in low increments. What I will probably not do with the V is hooking it up to other machines to act like a pseudo weight stack. It will be used as a training device.

Is it worth getting a V or get a relatively inexpensive functional trainer like a Centr?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Looking for some gym equipment advice (pros and cons)

So, I have two options at the moment.

Option one: Giant Lifting BD3x Functional Trainer (82.5" - currently on backorder). I should add I would look at the 6 post Giant rack.

Option Two: Keep my old Fitness Reality rack and get a Centr 2 by Inspire FTX for cable work.

As a side. I am a fairly in shape 60yo male

Thoughts? Pros/Cons?

Thanks all.

Giant Lifting

Hello all. Does anyone here have a Giant Lifting rack and would like to share their experiences? I am currently looking at their 80" all in one rack.

Thank you.

Rep Arcadia

anyone own the Arcadia Max and want to share the good and bad? i got the chance to use one at their warehouse in PA. I was thinking the arcadia and my cheap rack might be a good alternative to an all in one with tornado style arms.

Asking about the ForceUSA FTR.....again.

So, those of you who own or have tried or own the FTR - I have a couple of questions.

  1. Can you do things like seated OHPs in the rack (ie use a bench with a 90ish degree angle)? Seems like that back opening part might not allow for a bench to go through it in order to do things with steeper inclines.

  2. How do you compare the pulley feel vs any others (eg rep, getrxd, etc.).

I actually got to try one at a dealer near us. I was impressed. Not having tried the getrxd or maxum I am not sure how 'impressed' I should be - but it did seem nice.
