Onshore RN (Medical) Currently have 70 point for 189 and will complete 9 months experience in July 2026. I am currently doing grad program (RBWH) so base salary around 80K. I have seen some invites were less points and low salary were also invited. Plus heard that working in Gov hospital also helps a little not sure if thats true. Any advise?
Got audited for 2 years for claiming Work related self education expenses was not aware before as I was doing it myself working as AIN and claiming Bachelor of Nursing as I had completed Diploma of Nursing Already.
I have submitted voluntary disclosure and whatever evidence I have. The Case officer has replied with an ato audit deadline date of early August, 2026 and stated they will contact if any further info is required.
Does that date mean they will send their final decision on that date? or it could be before that date?

Is there any difference with ACS assessing experiences for General Skill compared to Post Grad 1 year skill assessment? Like how much strict they are.

I have a Diploma in Networking, Bachelor of Honours in Computing with 1st Class Honours from a UK university and a Masters of IT (Cyber related subjects) from Australian University. I also did 6 month unpaid internship as a cyber security intern as part of my curriculum here in Australia from a IT solution Company (I have agreements and completion certificates too) Ironically the hours counted as work hours (International student work hours). Completed my mastes with Higher Distinction. Got IT job right after finishing my degree in QLD Government as Level 2 Service Centre Analyst so didnt do any PY.
Now all I want to have a positive skill assessment in one of the MTSSL IT occupation so that I can give 5 more points as skilled partner as secondary applicant for 190 QLD and 189 visa but unsure if I will get one as the role description doesnt entirely covers the IT occupation in MTSSL.
What blews my mind is someone who did Bachelor and PY and did internship in a sketcy company gets positive skill assessment in any occupation solely based on PY and Bachelor(I do understand the time,money and effort requires for PY but seems unfair)
