Matte screen tablets for academic (textbooks, papers) and productivity purposes: Huawei Matepad pro 12.2, Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Matte edition, or something else?

Hello! I'm hoping to get some advice from experienced users here! I'm looking for a bigger screen tablet to read textbooks and academic papers easily with as little eye strain as possible. I know e-ink tablets are an option and I already have a ViWoods tablet, but 1) I need colour and 2) colour e-ink tablets are inferior in terms of display and generally slow and horrible for typing or web-based productivity while costing as much as, if not more than, an average Android tablet.

Apart from reading PDFs and epubs, I also hope to use to use the tablet for typing documents, emails, and coding (online). Smooth handwriting/scribbling with a stylus is a plus.

I've been thinking of the Huawei Mated pro 12.2 (2025) because of reviews on how nice its screen is, but online reviews and comments of how hard it is to use because of software issues are making me hesitate. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro (Matte) seems to be another good option despite the smaller size. Oppo also has a matte tablet in the Oppo Pad 5, but I hear that its chip is wanting. I also thought of an older Samsung Galaxy Tab (such as S10+), but I'm not sure how straining its screen would be. My aging eyes cannot even stand looking into my MacBook Pro (M1) screen for more than two hours before pain sets in.

If anyone else has the same use case as me and has come across a tablet that fits your needs, please let me know about your experiences. Thank you so much in advance!

Using ViWoods Ai Paper as second monitor / extended display?

Apologies if this has been answered--I've searched the subreddit for similar questions but couldn't find a direct answer.

Has anyone had any success using the Ai Paper as a second monitor / extended display (especially for MacOS)? Would screen sharing Android apps installed on the Ai Paper and the sharing PC/Mac work? I would be grateful for your experience! Thank you!
