High Elo Now vs Smolder (50% ban rate on Emerald+)

High Elo Now vs Smolder (50% ban rate on Emerald+)

Before, people got mocked when they complained about losing against smolder and accused of being low elo . Now most high elo players have to use bans on Smolder.

Smolder has 32.01% ban rate.

Smolder has always been my least favorite champion because he has good escape, slow abilities with wide radius and range, and thrive so well in small fight that stack his passive. It feels so oppressive when I play champion that is low-range and with weaker scaling (e.g. kai'sa samira kalista lucian draven) at mid-late game against smolder because he can escape from engage well if played safely and then stacks a few more passive which can also accelerate his stack because of the 25 and 125 breakpoint. It feels good that he is now perceived as frustrating as Mel so Riot may nerf him and then players need to either learn other harder champion or improve their skills in order to succeed on an overpowered and easy champion. Though many rioter said Mel was fair and not frustrating during the first few months when Mel was released, now they have to change their description of Mel. Smolder may follow the trend. (Last season it was Senna that has massive bumps of ban rate)

The last time I saw an adc who has over 60% winrate on best worldwide was Jinx few years to several patches ago.

Haven't play ranked for 3-4 months, mostly practice mode, TFT, and CS2 last few months, and just played one game of swiftplay recently.
