Your favorite post-apocalyptic novel to read when you're angry?

I know this might sound like a weird question, but if you ever feel frustrated, or angry about the state of the world, is there one novel, or one scene you like to read about the end of the world that you like to fantasize playing out? Mine is from the nukes going off in Robert McCammon's novel Swan Song.

What's a hypothethical PC game you would buy a new rig for?

Is there a PC game (let's say not already in development, does not exist to your knowledge) that you would break for a new computer to play, based on theme, not necessarily genre or game mechanics. Either an original setting, or already established one? Would have to have somewhat high requirements to need a new system, not a low spec game.

Need hollow hex base recs

Hi, I'd like to magnetize my Battletech minis. I know the CGL miniatures have hollow undersides under their bases for magnets. Requesting recommendations for third party hex bases that match CGL's as closely as possible for some mechs I need that CGL doesn't have versions of yet, that are hollow for magnets. Thanks.

Looking for personal recommendations for dry/wet erasable grid maps

Hi, looking for a quality square laminated battle grid map you can draw/erase on, to invest in. 3-4 feet if possible, won't crease and will erase easily. Any brand, or specific product you've used that you can vouch for? Thanks.

Character Creation Question

Hi, I'm planning to run Mothership and had a character creation question. If I make a scientist, can I choose any master skill I want, without the prerequisite skills? Or do I have to choose the trained and expert prerequiste skills for the third master skill as shown in the chart?

Will commercial wargaming survive the current economic climate?

Given recent events, and the state of the economy, is anyone concerned that it will set back miniature wargaming? The hobby can be frustratingly expensive in the best of times, but with inflation, gas, the geopolitical situation, etc., it doesn't look like its going to get any more affordable. Will it become a gentrified hobby for the rich, or do you think most of the community will keep it alive despite the overall situation?
