Cambodian Corn & Pork Congee

This is Pot Cha, a corn and pork congee or porridge my gf makes. It has simple ingredients and it's delicious. She only uses white corn and about a half kilo of pork, water and salt. Pounds the corn in a mortal and pestle very fine. Topped with green onions and pepper. It always tastes very buttery to me, although there isn't any butter in it at all.

Fairport Convention~Who Knows Where the Time Goes

The brilliant Sandy Denny song released on the second Fairport Convention album titled Unhalfbricking. Early photos in this video show her with Bonham, Plant and Page. She sang with Robert Plant on Led Zeppelin's Battle of Evermore.

Janis Joplin~Half Moon

One of my favorite Janis songs. This is from the album Pearl, which was released 3 months after her death in 1970. It features The Full Tilt Boogie Band, which I thought was the best back up band Janis had.

Mike McGear~Givin' Grease A Ride

Paul McCartney produced and played on this album by his younger brother. But I always thought this song owed more to T. Rex's 'Bang A Gong (Get It On)' than to anything by the Beatles.

Blind Connie Williams~Tell Me Why You Like Roosevelt

I always liked Jesse Winchester's 1974 version of this song, and it lead me to Mr. Williams. Blind Connie Williams was a street musician most of his life. He recorded this in 1961, but it wasn't released until 1974 on the Philadelphia Street Singer album.
