Someone created a new Facebook account and posted a photo of me and my mother along with offensive language. I’m trying to figure out the best next steps.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? What’s the most effective way to report this on Facebook, and are there any other practical steps I should take (like documenting everything or contacting local authorities)?

I’m not looking for ways to dig up private information myself — just advice on how to handle this properly and get the content taken down.
