I thought it was an urban legend, until I got it myself, many years ago. I must have been 19 y/o or so. The TREE in Whack-a-Kass! I was so shocked, but I clicked to make it drop, and swung.
And. I. MISSED.
I have been obsessed with getting that lucky tree again for over 10 years of playing Neopets, and today, during a casual attempt that I do more out of habit than truly hoping, it appeared! Here are my tips: don't panic. It can appear simply by hitting space/left-clicking as usual (exiting and selecting the bat each time isn't necessary like I feared). Open a new browser window, carefully. Watch these videos at 0.25 speed: First and second, to see where the line is. Notice how the first video misses, but the second video hits. It's the same line to strike as usual, like the illustration on JellyNeo, and you're more in danger of swinging too EARLY, rather than too LATE. Don't be too obsessed with the wind speed, like you would be normally. Just hitting it is enough.
And it's still not a good enough whack to get 1000 np, lol
