BMW service plan limiting oil changes to 10k miles?

Hey everyone,

Bought a 2025 M240x earlier this year with 13k miles.the service record shows oil changes at 3k, 9k and I changed it again at 15k free of charge as included with my service plan (free oil changes first 3year or 36,0000mi) I went in again at 20k to get another oil change since I prefer getting them done every 5-7k and the service tech said that I will be 250 unless I come back in 5k miles or 6 months. He also said if I paid to get my oil changed now it would reset the service counter so I won’t be able to change for another 10k.

I’m not trying to get extra oil changes for free or anything. But I am wondering if I could change the oil/filter myself at my local bimmer tech and not have them reset the oil service in the computer? Or if I have other options. Thanks

Do not over tighten screws on DJI O4 Pro housing

Hey Guys, thought I’d share a mistake I made to maybe help someone out in the future.

The DJI O4 VTX or transmission module housing is made out of aluminum. The other day when I had the top cover off to replace an antenna I wasn’t really paying attention and over tightened one of the screws causing it to strip the threads. Luckily, the O4 housing screws are M2 x 4mm and but the actual screws holes go through the entire housing for the mounting screws in the back. I was able to M2 x 6mm screws instead to grab on to some threads deeper in the hole.

So just keep in mind if you are ever screwing anything into the housing (or in general when using M2s) only a light amount of tightening is required or you could risk stripping the already soft aluminum threads

Issues with BF 2026.6

Finally bit the bullet and decided to update my drones from 4.5.1 to 2026.6 mainly for position hold. But the whole process seems more tedious than it should be and now running into issues and may just downgrade back to 4.5.

First the new betaflight app is noticeably laggy when using the app and not the web app. It is most apparent when using the live drone orientation feature. It’s so choppy and feels weird. Additionally it seems like a whole slew of minor glitches/bug in the UI exist which really decrease my confidence in the standalone configurator.

Secondly, the whole process of not being able to import your old CLI into the new betaflight version is a bit ridiculous having to manually go back and import PIDs and Gyro filtering data was not fun and not sure why this was the case. A auto update tool using the old CLI dump would have been useful and would greatly increase user accessibility especially for those that aren’t too familiar with the whole process.

The FC no longer auto connects when you save and reboot or go to open the CLI tab. Instead it says failed to connect and the beeper on the drone goes off. I have to manually unplug and replug the drone to get it to reconnect. Frankly it’s driving me nuts.

And for the main reason I’m thinking of reverting back is that now when I plug in a battery into the drone it the RX lost and subsequent beeper goes off for about 5-10 seconds until it fully connects. I am using DJI O4/SBUS and always have the beeper on for lost connections but on the previous version it would not scream at me every time I plug in a new battery for the first 5-10 seconds very annoying.

The only drone I have updated so far was GEPRC VAPOR D6 with the F722 stack.

TLDR: Unless I am missing something or there is a fix to the issues I am having, I would strongly recommend NOT to update until all these bugs get fixed.
