[0 YoE] landed my first tech job last month! No internships, grad 2 yrs ago, and some projects!

For some reason when I edited my posts, my resume went away but you can still find them on my profile.

However, title says it all! While I didn’t get SWE, I got a tech support help desk job which was still really challenging, and was one of 66 candidates that I know of. Now, I’m working in coordination with IT, networking team, and software dev team so I have a lot of chances for lateral movement! Thanks you guys to all who helped & to the founders/mods of this sub! AMA!

1996 Honda Shadow for $1k vs a 2010-2017 for maybe $2k?

Hey y’all title says everything. I’m a new rider and saw this post for a bike for $1k, but I’m a little skeptical because I see bikes for 2010+ going for the same price if not $1k more. Is this a worth it bike? Owner says:
“1996 Honda Shadow ACE C2 VT 1100. Battery is dead, might need tune up or gas and carbs cleaned. Just replaced all 4 spark plugs. Clean title sat for a couple years, but it was rode.”

What do you guys think?

Is this 1996 Honda Shadow still worth it?

Hi y’all, I’m a beginner bike rider (just got my license a year ago but haven’t rode since yet) and I came across this bike but I’m a little confused. Some are selling 2001-2010+ Honda Shadows for $1-$2k on marketplace. Is it worth going for this bike or are those offers scams?

The owner wants $1,500 but agreed to $1,000 and said “1996 Honda Shadow ACE C2 VT 1100. Battery is dead, might need tune up or gas and carbs cleaned. Just replaced all 4 spark plugs. Clean title sat for a couple years, but it was rode.”

Is this a good beginner bike or should I look elsewhere? I’d love to fix up a bike with minor fixes but I still wanna be able to ride it sooner rather than later.
