Developing an ancient mono-gender species for a high -fantasy world

Im working on a fantasy race for my web novel series that i've been working on. I have tried developing the basic idea by taking inspiration from the forerunners from halo and the asari from mass effect, but i still need help making the species feel original and develping theri own biology, and maigcal civilation.

and a little backstory of story lore: theres used to be one earth, but due to ancient weapon similiar in scale to halo's firing, Eart was split into two dimensions. one became our modern world and other became a high-fantasy world. in my story, gates begin appearin across our wolrd that connect the two worlds, and this gates is the same weapon that was fired in ancient times.

this particular species is on the major civilzation of the setting. my main inspirations are more the forerunners from halo and the asari from mass effect thatn trraditoinal elves. they are an extremely old civilization that has developed magic beyond most other races, lamost like a form of engineering or advanced technology,

They are mono-gemder, but that isnt there to create a harem or all the women want the "a progtagionst" situation. its a simply part of their biology and culture. i want to explore what an entire civilization is built around that biology,

visually they might have some traits people associate with elves but i dont want them to beasically be " Female elves",

so basically like this:

Forerunner influence: anicent civilization, monumnetal archhitectures, magical infrastrcutres, huge histroical influence

Asari: mono-gender biology, long lives, cross gender /species relationships

so my basic inspirations are from halo froerunners mass effect

and the anime GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There!

Why should the government decide whether someone can get an abortion?

I’m a man, but I consider myself an egalitarian, so I believe people should have equal rights and control over their own bodies.

My question for people who want abortion banned is: why do you care so much about whether a stranger gets an abortion?

You aren’t the person who is pregnant. You don’t know their health, finances, family situation, how the pregnancy happened, or what carrying it to term could do to their life. You also aren’t the one who will have to raise that child afterward.

I can understand personally believing abortion is wrong and choosing not to have one. What I don’t understand is why that personal belief should give you the right to use the government to make that decision for somebody else.

And if the argument is that you care about protecting children, does that concern continue after birth? Do you also support healthcare, food assistance, affordable childcare, school meals, housing support, and other programs that help those children actually grow up healthy and safe?

Why shouldn’t abortion ultimately be a private decision between the pregnant person and their doctor?

Question for pro-lifers: If parents force their underage daughter to continue a dangerous pregnancy, should they ever be legally responsible for the harm that results?

This is something I’ve been thinking about.

We’ve seen cases where parents can be criminally charged when their actions or negligence contribute to their child harming someone—for example, some school-shooting cases where prosecutors argued that the parents knowingly ignored serious risks or gave the child access to a weapon.

So I’m wondering whether a similar principle should ever apply when a minor becomes pregnant.

If a child is pregnant and continuing the pregnancy poses serious physical or psychological risks, but her parents refuse to allow an abortion and force her to give birth, should those parents be legally responsible if she is seriously injured or dies as a result?

For people who are pro-life, where should parental rights end and child-endangerment laws begin?

I’m especially interested in answers from people who believe abortion should be prohibited even for minors. If the government and parents require that child to continue the pregnancy, who should be legally responsible when that decision causes preventable harm?
