I am looking for a portable air conditioning unit that has a smaller exhaust tube that could fit through the grates of my burglar bars. I can’t remove the burglar bars. I am on the fire escape, so a window unit is not an option. I think the bars are too tight, but really hoping for some ideas so I don’t just have to leave the door open all the time. *pictures is a borrowed unit, my roommate was letting me test this out while I was unpacking.

I am moving into a pretty small bedroom. I would really liked to keep a full sized bed, but if the consensus is that’s a bad idea then I will be okay on a twin. I also would like a desk/small table to be able to do my makeup because I will share a bathroom with 2 other people. The photos are of the previous tenants room layout (posted with permission) and I don’t think it’s ideal for me with the very limited storage, besides the closet. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome! Thank you for your time!
