How bad is the French translation of danmei? Is it better to trust English editors?

Hello, I'm new in reading danmei, and I would like to read them in my first language : French.

For context, I bought the two first volumes of Heaven's official blessing in French with confidence without reading the reviews... and I got a very unpleasant surprise by learning it's translated from English, and not from Chinese... I can read English, so I feel ridiculous for buying this version... I also read in the reviews that there's culture mistakes ? This editor seems not trustful.

On the other hand, I read that Komogi, another editor was doing a better job by translating from Chinese directly, and giving collector editions with goodies.

So I wonder if I should just buy the English version, and forget about the French editors? or only trust Komogi ? I'm lost.

Please could you tell to me, which editors is giving to us a good translation? Which editors do you trust for your books? Which versions, the French community is buying? English or French?

Hello, I'm from France, and I mostly play at Japanese otome games, but it feels like it's impossible to meet another player irl. I tried, but failed, the best I found is one time a lad player, but I don't play at it.

When I finish a game I would like to talk to someone like a friend, sharing a conversation about otome games in general, future releases, etc. This reddit is good for it, but making friends... I have no idea how to do so.

I also dream to go to a cafe with someone to talk, or even try to craft stuff related to otome games.

So here, I'm asking you fellow otome games fan, how do you do to make friends who also like otome games online or/and irl?

I'll be annoying, but the only tips I can't follow is going to big events. When there's a lot of people, I feel unfortunately very uncomfortable or even sick.

Also I noticed that there are more French players than I expected here, thank you, you're giving me hope by being there. Because I have the impression it's a very lonely hobby in France.
