Hi, I'm building a mod tool for the hackathon and hitting a wall I can't get past.
Every app I try to playtest fails during OnAppInstall with this error:
Router.GetOrLoadActor: remote bootstrap failed: rpc error: code = Code(36) desc = Devvit._initMenu is not a function
This happens even with the absolute bare minimum app:
import { Devvit } from '@devvit/public-api';
export default Devvit;
and
Environment:
- devvit CLI: 0.12.22
- u/devvit/public-api: 0.12.22
- macOS (Apple Silicon)
- devvit.json has blocks. entry pointing to main.ts
Things I've tried:
- Multiple fresh app registrations (different names)
- Removing all triggers, scheduler, menu items
- Stripping to 2-line bare app
- Matching public-api version exactly to CLI version
Is this a known runtime issue? Is there a specific CLI version that works right now?
iiit delhi is hosting it's Open house. should I go?
