Been seeing a lot of posts here around calibration issues, random label skips, driver headaches, etc., been through that pain myself recently while setting up a bunch of Zebra printers for an event.

One thing that helped me a lot (after way too much trial and error) was just getting the basics consistent across everything:

  • Same label size in printer + driver + app (even a tiny mismatch messes things up)
  • Proper calibration and checking it after a power cycle
  • Making sure there’s no scaling if you’re printing PDFs
  • Using the right media type (gap vs black mark—this trips people up more than expected)

Also realized that half the issues weren’t hardware at all, it was just settings fighting each other between Windows, drivers, and the app.
