The votes are in, the ballot boxes closed, and the final tallies posted. The 2956 Ship Showdown Champion is the RSI Perseus. At the end of the day, with almost 35 thousand votes cast in the Final, it was a decisive victory for RSI's premier heavy gunship.
Ironclad Assault = 14244 | 20435 = Perseus
Players who own any of the Final Four competitors (RSI Perseus, Drake Ironclad Assault, Origin M80, and Drake Corsair) as of Intergalactic Aerospace Expo later this year will also receive Best in Show paints, manufacturer-themed coins, and a coin case, with a manufacturer-themed bomber jacket going to backers of the Champion.

Clang! Clash! Clunk! Who’da thunk we’d make it here in one piece? Well, the Ironclad Assault and Perseus did. The rest of the Top 16 won themselves an unceremonious one-way ticket to the repair shop. Sucks to be them. Now, the final. A fight that’s been brewing for centuries. RSI, a beacon of respected traditionalism, and Drake, all things rugged and independent. This is your last chance to show your allegiance. Your voices have echoed through the black, your votes have tipped epic scales of battle, and now, just one choice remains. In the right corner, the Ironclad Assault, a tough titan built for conflicts such as these. In the left corner, the gargantuan gunship that ends fights before they begin. Two showdown newcomers. One unpredictable outcome. LET’S ROCK!

It's the Final! Chad versus Percy for the win!
As expected, yesterday saw the 2nd Semi Final completely dominated by the Perseus - the M80 never stood a real chance, but goes back to the hangars knowing it has a 2956 Best in Show paint in its' future, and that it finished with more votes in the semis than the Corsair, so technically it's the Ship Showdown 2956 Bronze Medal winner!
M80 = 10050 | 23025 = Perseus
-------------------------
Still semi-conscious for the semi-final, the M80 and the Perseus have nothing left to lose. It’s the final or oblivion. It’s newcomer vs newcomer, and all bets are off. Can Origin’s siren slaughterer wipe RSI off the mat, or will the mighty gunship snatch the final slot? There’s only one way to find out.

This is the second semi-final match up. The winner of today's vote goes up against the Ironclad Assault in the Final:
Ironclad Assault = 26511 | 8673 = Corsair
It was another pretty one-side affair. Much like I believe today's will be too. Citizens do seem to prefer the bigger ships.
-------------------------
Showdown have mercy! Still drenched oil and guilt from its victory over its sister ship, the Corsair is thrown back into the ring to confront another of its kin; the Ironclad. Mighty mecha or meandering maverick, which Drake ship will make it to the final fight?

The second semi-final tomorrow will see the M80 face off against the Perseus, which unseated the underdog favourite Railen:
Railen = 8797 | 21695 = Perseus
The Final Four ships that'll get Best In Show paints for Ship Showdown 2956 are therefore:
-------------------------
The finest in mighty Human engineering and awe-inspiring Xi’an tech are about to make some noise. The Perseus comes in hot from a herculean victory against the mammoth Idris-P, but the Railen took out its own flesh and blood to make it here. A battle of sheer merciless will is about to commence.

This is the final quarter final and will decide who goes up against yesterday's victor, the M80, in Semi Final 2.
Reclaimer = 13398 | M80 = 18627
A face that only a mother could love when compared to the magnificent M80, but what the Reclaimer lacks in allure, it makes up for in enormity. Will the infamous Aegis claw grasp victory or will it be bewitched, bothered, and beaten to scrap by the captivating new Origin assassin?

-------------------------
The second semi-finalist is the Corsair who triumphed over the gutsy Clipper in yesterday's Round 2 voting:
Corsair = 17639 | 14347 = Clipper
The Corsair gets another BIS paint and goes into the first semi-final against the Ironclad Assault.
-------------------------
It’s Drake on Drake! Oh, this is gonna be good - it’s gonna be brutal and it’s gonna be remembered. These two asymmetric assailants are about to settle this family feud in the Showdown ring to see which will continue the Drake legacy and which will go crying back to Arden. Will it be the lone-wolf Clipper or the tag-team Corsair? Clock’s ticking, so make your choice.

The little MTC that could tried its best, but honestly, it was never going to be a fair fight.
Ironclad Assault = 34327 | 6942 = MTC
The Ironclad is the first semi-finalist and gets a Best in Show Paint. It'll duke it out for a spot in the final against today's winner.

Find shelter, close your windows, and hold on because the big hitters are manning their turrets, loading their torpedoes, and gearing up for a fight like no other; the kind of battle that makes moons quake and stars shiver. It’s a clash of two titans, each making their Showdown debut, but only one can survive to fight the next war. They’re ready, are you?

The winner of this match-up will meet the Railen in Round 2.

Another one-sided affair yesterday to see the Railen through to the Elite Eight:
Railen = 22703 | 10062 = Prowler Utility
The Railen will go up against the winner of today's vote in Round 2.
-------------------------
At the risk of sparking an intergalactic conflict, it’s time to pit Tevarin tech against Xi’an ingenuity in a battle of alien excellence. The Railen stands tall against the Prowler Utility, but can it escape the sharp talons of Esperia’s warbird?

The winner of this match-up will meet either the Perseus or the Idris-P in Round 2.

Yesterdays' vote was another one-sided affair, with the M80 totally dominating the Shiv.
M80 = 22847 | 9093 = Shiv
The M80 will go up against the Reclaimer in Round 2.
-------------------------
The Nordic days of the week have been dropped... 4.10 Live is coming soon.
Both are fresh to the fight but no stranger to a skirmish, these two instant icons are rushing in for their first shot at the title. Origin’s elite executioner, the M80, meets Grey’s soldered striker, the Shiv, on the battlefield for the ultimate test of prestige vs scrappiness. You’re not just choosing a winner, you’re choosing a lifestyle.
The winner of this match-up will meet the Reclaimer in Round 2.

Right, so now that the Stingray has been (semi-)available for testing in the 4.10 PTU release, what is the brains trust thinking the release price point is going to be?
Is the "Kruger Tax" going to push it over the $200 mark? Or are we going to see it priced at the $175-$185 point that the Sabre and Hornet Mk II are at to prevent a flood of cheap low-cost Warbond upgrades from those ships?
Where are you hoping/thinking the release price tag will land? And what's the absolute maximum you would pay for it?
It’s a blue-collar bout for the ages: mining or salvage? Give or take? Seven-time competitor, zero-time winner the Reclaimer has a score to settle, and the poor ship standing in its way? The Argo MOLE. But don’t count the three-armed monster out until you’ve seen what it can do. It’s time to hear the clang of heavy metal.
