Building a home theater DIY

Looking for advice on starting a basement home theater build.

My room dimensions are:

- Width: 291 cm (9.5 ft)

- Length: 430 cm (14.1 ft)

- Height: 241 cm (7.9 ft)

I’d ideally like:

- two rows of 3 seats

- projector setup if possible

- surround sound

I’m trying to figure out:

  1. Is this room realistically big enough for 2 rows?

  2. What’s the best orientation? Screen on the short wall or long wall?

  3. What screen size/viewing distance would work best?

  4. Would you prioritize a single better row over squeezing in two rows?

Would love to see examples from people with similarly sized rooms.

Is it possible to build a jome theather with that dimension, would a setup in that room work??? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,

I have the ONSRA Velar 2.0 and noticed on their website that they sell upgraded suspension trucks.

They look really interesting and I’m kinda tempted, but ~800€ is a pretty steep price just for an upgrade.

For those of you who’ve tried them (or similar upgrades), do you think it’s actually worth it? Or is it more of a “nice but not necessary” kind of thing?

I like the idea of upgrading, but I’m not sure if the improvement justifies the cost. What would you guys do in my situation?

Thanks in advance!
