I recently bit the bullet and started my 1911 journey. I purchased a Defender for my edc. I’m knowledgeable enough to know not to put it into rotation until I’ve thrown a few hundred rounds down range. Here’s where the problem lies. I have had so many issues with this gun that I’m to the point of regretting my decision. From failure to seat, failure to feed, stovepipe, the bushing is stripped after just about 200 rounds. Sent to colt to have worked on and basically only fixed the stripped. I’m giving it one more chance and sending it to a professional gunsmith to have it worked on. Anyone else had these issues? I really want to love this gun.
