Update: Eve Aqua + Home Assistant users rejoice, after 7 years it appears HA 2026.9 will finally map SetDuration

Subscribed to this thread and it appears a solution has finally been merged into HA/is staged for 2026.9

Wanted to share the good news here!

Edit: Context on setup [Eve Aqua, HA 2026.8, ZBT2, BT Adapter]

  1. Get a feasycom bluetooth adapter, add it to HA

  2. You can use the "HomeKit Device" integration to add legacy "homekit over thread" devices that pair via bluetooth

  3. Once added, you can migrate the device to your existing matter-thread network by using the transfer thread credentials button. This might take a few tries with a sleepy device.

  4. It's now on your thread network just like if it was a matter device

Proposal: End-of-the-month "Devs play the game" live stream

Pretty much the title. It think it would be great for the game (and community's perception of CIG) to have a chill end-of-the-month 1hr live stream. Make it friday/after-hours, 4-5 devs each week.

Crack a few beers and hop on the PU with some whacky objective to make it fun. Maybe with a 10m delay to try and stop stream sniping.

The idea here is QA watches the stream too, devs hit the same bugs we do, and the team/Engineers prioritize fixing whatever the last stream ran into.

Sure it might end up being a disaster some months, but that's the kind of accountability we need right now. What do you think?
