was the lock mechanism available from only the inside? It would’ve been so easy for Xeno to get Amanda by just pressing the button from the outside and get to her in the emergency airlock...Xeno's are very intelligent so it got me thinking why Steve wouldn’t do it...maybe Amanda locked it from the inside so it wouldn’t be possible to enter from the outside?
