I don't understand why devs put Dispatch on Amazon Luna before Xbox

I find it weird that we're pretty deep into summer now, yet there has been no announcement on the release date for the Xbox port. Yet yesterday out of nowhere, devs announced an Amazon Luna drop of the game.

I mean, is cloud gaming really a popular way to play indie games like Dispatch? I get live service AAA titles like EA FC might find some players on that medium, but I don't think anyone was asking devs for a cloud gaming support for Dispatch. Looking at the comments under their tweet, most people are kinda baffled by this announcement.

I know they've been saying that the Xbox port is coming in "Summer 2026" but it has been four months since that indication and not a real date since. I've mentioned this before, but AdHoc did miss out on two major summer games events like the Summer Game Fest and Xbox Showcase which would've been perfect for an announcement.

Chose to change the movie date song a bit...

[Sorry for the repost, there was a glaring editing mistake in the original lol.]

Inspired by a scene from El Camino.

Song: Sharing the Night Together

Artist: Dr. Hook

Year: 1978

(Almost) the same vibes from these two...

What I find funny about Snow White from Wolf Among Us and Blazer is that they love picking up beaten down heroes from alleyways.

Will the original Wolf Among Us get delisted from Steam once the remaster comes out?

As the remaster is set to release in December, is Telltale going to delist the 2013 original from Steam?

I saw a thread on r/delisted where the possibility was being discussed, and it could be a possibility given how some publishers tend to do that for their old games when they usually remaster or remake them. I don't know the logic or reason behind this trend, but it is what it is, I guess.

The biggest example being the original GTA Trilogy when Rockstar delisted them from Steam six months after they released the Definitive Edition in 2021. And also Obsidian delisting the original Outer Worlds 1 a couple weeks ago in favor of the remastered Spacer's Choice Edition.

Why is Robert trying to be sure? Is he a Viltrumite?

Is Mandy finally getting her powers? Maybe she threw a trash bag into space at work? Or maybe she made a steak?

Viltrumite Blazer tries (and fails) to bring Coupé into the Z-Team

A very weak imitation of the "this is good news" meme from Invincible...

No Xbox release date announcement at the Showcase...

Was really hoping AdHoc would finally give the Xbox release date at the event. Now I guess the long wait for the news begins. AdHoc being quiet about the Xbox release since March also doesn’t bode much confidence either, considering how the Switch release went. But maybe that's just me.

Let's hope they give the launch date sooner than later.

Top 10 anime betrayals of all time... 😭

I know it was due to a lack of budget and for optimization... but a man can only dream.

The good ending w/ The Flambae song

Chose to make this edit with the infamous "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks (sorry, Flambae). Hope you like it!

Song: Bitch

Artist: Meredith Brooks

Release year: 1997

I guess Robert almost looked like Sea Salt...

From the deluxe edition artbook. Funny how people compare the game to Invincible so much, and yet Robert was almost designed to resemble a much younger Cecil Stedman anyway, even with similar jobs. Heck, they even shared the same facial scar lmao.

"Protein tubes with that white sauce, please."

Just a really stupid meme I made based off that Debbie/Omni-Man dinner flashback scene from Invincible. 🤣

AdHoc just shared this gem on Twitter... 🤣

Looks like the twerking Phenomaman meme is now canon. 🤣

Wish Travis made it to episode 4, though. That'd be interesting to see...

Now that an infinite dispatching mode is more or less confirmed by AdHoc, I decided to check out the old dispatching UIs at the deluxe edition's artworks. If devs want to bring a bit of a variety in the new mode, they can combine the current and a bit of the old UIs from the early development phase.

Personally, I like the white 3D overhead design of Torrence. It gives off huge Mirror's Edge Catalyst vibes, and that was one of my favorite games.

At one part of a recent interview with the blog site Mothership (link: https://www.mothership.blog/in-dispatch-blonde-blazer-and-invisigal-dont-get-equal-screentime-but-its-not-developer-bias-adhoc-says/), Dispatch director Nick Herman shared his own take on Visi's sex dream in ep 4: "It's a dream Robert's having. When she wakes up and you realize you're with her, it's more impactful."

I mean, the reason that scene exists is to shake the players by switching the POV. But what I don't get is why he thinks Robert will be seeing that dream.

When I first played the game and this scene rolled out, I didn’t even think it was a dream at all. I thought it took place the same night of ep 3 and Visi was just having deep desires about Robert in bed after returning home. But that is the point: the scene was designed to be from Visi's perspective, whether it's fantasy or not. The whole scene also looked very female-gazed despite its somewhat lewd nature.

But never have I ever believed Robert would be fantasizing having sex with Visi ever. He remotely doesn’t show any romantic interest in Visi in the previous two episodes. If any, he instead depicts a more mentor figure, up until the moment the player chooses to go to the movies with Visi.

Sorry for the rant here, but it seems like Nick doesn’t really understand the true intent of the scene here (no offense to him or any of the devs). What do you think of his take?
