Need advice on the best cloud-gaming setup for my situation (Game Pass + GeForce NOW)

I have:

- A company Alienware laptop

- A 1440p / 2K monitor

- Good internet

- Xbox PC Game Pass active until Aug 2026 (got from company's Laptop)

- Currently can ONLY do cloud gaming

Mainly interested in:

- single-player/campaign games

- AAA titles

- best graphics + smoothness on a 2K monitor

I’m trying to figure out the best combo financially and technically:

  1. Is PC Game Pass enough for GeForce NOW?

  2. Is there any real benefit to upgrading to Game Pass Ultimate if I’m already using GeForce NOW?

  3. Which GeForce NOW tier makes the most sense for 1440p?

    - Free

    - Performance/Priority

    - Ultimate

  4. For people using Game Pass + GeForce NOW together:

    - how good is the library overlap really?

    - any major missing AAA campaign games?

  5. Is GeForce NOW Ultimate overkill for 1440p, or worth it.

Would appreciate recommendations from people actually using this setup daily.

Hi everyone,

I’m having a weird issue with my setup and I can’t figure it out.

I’m using an Xbox Series X connected to a Gigabyte G27Q20 monitor (27") via HDMI.

Problem:

The monitor shows “No Signal”

Xbox turns on normally (solid power light)

Controller connects fine

Monitor works perfectly with my laptop using the same HDMI cable

Tried HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 ports

Tried different power cycles and full resets

Current situation:

Everything seems to work except the Xbox video output to this monitor. I suspect it might be a resolution/handshake issue between the Series X and the G27Q20.

Has anyone experienced this with this monitor or similar setups? Any fixes or settings I should try?

Thanks in advance!
