Safest beaches for swimming

Hi everyone I am looking for some local advice. I am bringing my friend from out of town to Laguna and she loves to swim. However I’ve been going to Laguna all summer (mostly montage or Victoria beach) and the waves have been super scary. What would you say the best and calmest beaches are for swimming at this time? Thank you !!
