Morning runs, fuel?

I’m curious to know what you morning runners fuels with, breakfast? Lunch?

At the moment, and all year, I’ve been doing black coffee and an orange juice, just thinking that it’ll give me caffeine and sugar, and sometimes a donut if I want some starch. I know it isn’t great, but it works for me so far.

Novablast 5/6?

I love the 5s for daily running and I’ve worn mine to death and was excited to upgrade. Today just got the 6s and did a quick lil 5k in it.

I don’t love it. Anyone else? I’ve read about it for weeks and about all the upgrades. It definitely feels like a tempo shoe and I don’t feel that it gives me the support the 5s did. Also I think the fit is a lil weird, I’m a 9.5 in the 5s but I had to size down for the 6/ because it was just so baggy.

Idk should I give it a few more runs? Or should just get another 5s since it’s on sale anyways?

Blvd vets stinks.

I kinda really hate BLVDpets? I get they’re a small business and locally owned and all that but something about it just stinks.

First Of all I think it’s super weird that I’m not allowed to be in the same room as my dog when they get anything done, that there’s a room where we all meet and then my dog gets taken to a secret back room to be inspected and to get her shots and all that?

secondly, my vet assistant kept calling my dog my name and kept calling me my name??? i have the most human-est name and I think my dog has the most dog-est name. kinda hard to mix up.

thirdly, in what world is any shots 79 dollars? 4 shots and 3 boosters was a thousand dollars? and if i don’t get it my dog will be at a high risk of dying???? what?

fourthly, “if your dog has any side effects, take them to an urgent care because we will Probably be fully booked, but feel free to call” might just be the most insane thing I’ve heard all year.

maybe I’m just getting old but I remember a time when vets clinics didnt look like they had an interior designer. aren’t I just paying for the interior designer and the “free“ lacroix in the cooler?

anyways, are there other vets you guys would recommend?

looking to get a second dog, but definitely trying to adopt from a shelter. But I would also like a shelter that’s local focused and isn’t “boutique.” just an honest shelter that rescues local dogs.

went to paws today: 500 adoption fee, they told me they get a lot of their dogs from California (why¿¿¿¿) and my heart broke for how many dogs were just sitting in their own filth. idk there’s just something about them I just don’t trust, seems performative?
