Just a vent.

Okay I’m a die hard market basket shopper…my entire life- but I’m ANNOYED. I just purchased these strawberries yesterday. I tipped the container to check the bottom for mushy/moldy ones while in the store. Opened the container this morning to rinse and serve to my kids and there’s a bunch that have gone to waste. I’m wondering if they had been frozen? Not worth bringing them back to the store but this happens often and it’s frustrating.

Anyone else feel like they are hanging on by a thread until school starts?

I feel terrible saying it and feeling like this. I stay home with my three children ages 5, 4, and 14months. The two older kids are boys and the youngest is a girl. It’s been a challenging summer for me without any camps or regular care besides myself. Trying to juggle the boys while maintaining some sort of routine and nap schedule for the baby has been so mentally taxing. I feel like everything is a mess and disorganized, every room, my car, the garage. Laundry is backed up. Hardly cooking dinner. Now trying switch back into school mode and planning my oldest a birthday party (he turns 6 at the beginning of September) my head is SPINNING. I need a reset!!! Holy moly, this gig is not for the faint of heart. Then I’ll see posts on social media about being sad that their kids are going back to school and “mourning” the slow mornings mean while I’m feeling like a total a-hole for counting down the freaking days!!! (It’s 12 btw)

Micro Influencers

So I’ve recently seen a lot of local “micro influencers” popping up and I’m curious how others feel about this. Theres several who live in my community and who I follow. I tend to find them more relatable. One example is this mom of three who shares playgrounds, play spaces, and other kid related things all local to me. I find her page really helpful and I’ve found some gems to take my kids. HOWEVER. I took my kids to Chick-fil-A for lunch yesterday and she was there with her kids. She doesn’t know me, or that I follow her and yet here I am knowing exactly who she is, her kids names and ages, what kind of car she drives, what pediatrician and dentist she takes her kids too, that she recently had an ectopic pregnancy and had a fallopian tube removed and I’m sitting there eating my lunch and it made me feel GROSS to know all this information about an absolute stranger. I get this is a choice for some people to put their lives on social media for anyone to see and follow but I just can’t understand it…even a “micro” version. What do you think?

Am I too late to prune last seasons blooms?

Hi! We moved into our home last summer so this is our first spring to witness everything start to bloom. I’m not sure what type of hydrangeas these are but they are more tree like with a very delicate, lace like cream bloom. Should I have trimmed off last seasons bloom? Am I too late? Do I leave them be? Please help!
