Water temps / wetsuit thickness

I'm taking my 12 year old daughter to the Galapagos later this week. We'll be on a small cruise and plan to do a good amount of snorkeling. I understand that we can generally rent from the ships but to be safe (for my daughter), I plan to pack a wetsuit.

What's the water temp like right now and what thickness wetsuits should we expect to wear? I'm a Socal surfer (from Norcal) so i'm used to colder water. Do we need 3/2s? 4/3s? or can we get by with spring suits or no wetsuit at all?

How much downtime is there on small boat cruises

Hello. I'm planning a trip with my 12 year old daughter. We're considering a 5 day/4 night cruise on a 16 passenger catamaran (the Nemo II) on a Southeastern itinerary. We're also considering a much more luxurious ship - that not surprisingly costs more than double what we'd pay for the Nemo II.

My question is: is it worth the extra cost to take the nicer ship? Will we have much downtime where the nicer accomodations would make a difference? Or will we be so tired, we'll just want to nap in our cabin?

It would be fine if it were me alone but my concern is my daughter getting bored between excurisions (even though I'm not sure what she'd do on the nicer ship).

We've got some termites - Help!

I've discovered termites tunnels / burrows in some of our posts and beams on our patio. I'm worried they may have made their way into other parts of the house. About two years ago, we noticed some in the wood frame around our detached garage door - which our handyman repaired and treated.

We bought our house in 2018, and it was tented then but they clearly are here eating our house.

Can anyone recommend a termite control outfit that can help?

Noodoe EV charger at Great Park - $6/KWh

What's the deal with the expensive Noodoe chargers at Great Park?

I was there last week, on a weeknight around 6pm - the listed cost was $6/kwh. I clearly didn't use it - and no one else was as well?

Was this a mistake?

ECNL vs ECRL

My daughter has to pick between a couple options for next season. I don't want to mention age but she's in the recruiting window.

We live in one of the top soocer markets in the US where she's currently on the ECRL team of a nationally known club. She has struggled to break onto the club's top, ECNL, team. The goal for her is to play in college but she's not sure if she wants D1 (the alternative would be a high academic D3).

She has been offered spots on two ECNL teams at two other clubs. Both would entail a tremendous sacrifice for our family (in terms of time spent driving to trainings since both are considerably farther away from our home and we have 2 other kids). As between these two, one appears to be considerably stronger than the other; they'll make playoffs and the players are stronger. My kid would probably be in the bottom half of this team and at the onset we'd worry about minutes. The other team is close to the bottom of the standings, and from the traininings, it appears my daughter would be in the top half. But it's still an ECNL team and would bring the exposure of ECNL. On her current team (RL), she is one of the top offensive players usually plays close to full minutes every game.

From watching the classes ahead of her, my sense is that it would be essential to play ECNL if the goal is D1. In addition, it seems it would be infinitely easier to get the attention of a D3 program playing on an ECNL team (vs an RL team). Does everyone agree?

If so, should we "suck it up" and put her on the weaker ECNL team? She enjoys her current club and it's just around the corner however we're worried that it might not be as helpful in recruitment.
