Building a small pool / Aquarium, need help

Hi!

I’m planning to build a small temporary custom pool/tank that will be roughly:

2m x 2m

60cm high

It will only be used for about about a week, so this doesn’t need to be a permanent installation — but it still needs to be safe, reliable, and reasonably good-looking.

Two of the walls need to be transparent. I currently have some 27mm acrylic/plexiglass sheets that could potentially be used if they’re suitable for this kind of project.

Beyond that, I’m still very much in the planning stage and would love advice from people with experience building:

acrylic tanks

plunge pools

custom spas

aquarium-style builds

studio/film water setups

Main things I’m wondering about:

What should the non-transparent walls be made from?

What’s the best way to build the frame/structure?

Is 27mm acrylic enough for this size and water pressure?

Best way to seal everything properly?

How should pipe/hose penetrations be done?

What kind of filtration/circulation setup would make sense?

Best way to keep the water warm for a few hours?

Smart ways to handle overflow/splashing?

Anything important people usually forget with builds like this?

The water needs to stay clean, visually clear, and ideally have that nice “blue pool” look during use. It will be used outdoor, in a some what dusty area.

Any tips, examples, mistakes to avoid, or product suggestions would be hugely appreciated. This project is taking place in Norway.
