What should I do if my PC doesn't detect the HDMI connection? I tried connecting the PC to the TV, but neither the mouse nor the keyboard is turning on.

My pc has been running fine the last couple says and I wake up today turn it on and it keeps saying no signal on my monitor.
LIST OF THINGS IVE DONE AND ITS NOT WORKED
Removed ram
Checked for any damage on hdmi cable and ports they are fine
Unplugged my pc
Removed the metal coin thing forgot what it was called and plugged it back in and it didn’t work
If anyone knows what the issue could be pls let me know

Okay my fiancé had his PC plugged into a power strip, our son took the end of a charger and plugged it the wrong way into one of the sockets in the strip. After he did that the computer shut off and everything. When he tried turning it back on the lights worked but I’m not sure if something got fried in the process. His monitors didn’t turn on or the fan etc. just looking for some advice on what could’ve happened or what we can check to see if it’ll be an easy fix?! T.I.A 😮‍💨

So i have a dell optiplex 3040 with an i3 6100 and its a MT model like the big one and today when i try to turn it on its try to post at first take like 5 seconds then it turns off immediately and when i press the power button again to turn it on it like turn on and off immediately like in the same moment and after it the power button start blinking orange in the sequence of 2 blinks pause and 2 blinks again and i looked that code up and it says that its either bad power supply or bad power supply cabling or bad motherboard and i know that the psu is fine cuz i swapped in a known good one so maybe its the mobo but is there is anyway i can revive it i really need this pc and i tryed to unplugging it and removing the cmos ram and holding the power button for like 30 seconds then turning it back on but it didnt fix it so does anyone know anything that can help

So i have a problem with my pc and been trying to fix it for the past few days and still couldn’t find the issue, but suspecting an issue. So whenever my pc is on idle or playing games, my pc suddenly goes black screen with a no signal sign and its random so i tried fixing it on bios and gpu setting and still didn’t fix it so i was suspecting thE AVR then i tried plugging the pc directly to an outlet in the house and guess what the problem still didn’t fixed. So i was thinking, is it due to electricity fluctuation in our home? Cause i noticed that some of our appliances like air conditioners are making sounds like its getting choked by low power and sometimes issues in our area is that the electricity spikes a lot, so guys pls doo tell me if its the issue if not im cooked. But if its is the electricity spikes or fluctuations then maybe an UPS may fix this issue?

Hi, it's my first time using reddit (I often just watch videos on youtube from various known tech youtubers and learn from there) but I need more oppinions on this matter because I'm having a hard time picking out my cpu.

In this thread I wanna ask what's more worth for a first buy going from am4 to am5~

For context I'll mainly use it for gaming and mostly for rust (for those who dont know about it, rust is a heavy cpu dependent game known for its horrible optimization and need of a really strong cpu). I wanna pair it up with my RTX 4070 super and 32 gb's of ddr5 cl30 and use it to play in 1440p
I first thought about buying a 9800x3d but later found out about the 9850x3d (roughly 6% better performance, slightly lower temp and basically same power usage) for only 25-30 ish dollar difference, now what I want to ask about is if its even worth going for the 9800 x3d series or should i just buy a 7800x3d. I didn't really want to go for the 7800x3d because I didn't want to cheap out on the cpu and think "oh I would've had way better performance on a 9800 if i paid a little more" (not that big of a price difference between them considering you are building a crazy fast pc with a lot of really expensive parts).

So i had my pc off for like a year i have now started playing valorant on it again its been like 5 months since ive been playing and everday i start the game it turns on and after 1min the pc crashes and when i turn it on again it gets fine and doesnt shut off again Chat gpt told me it my be temp throttling so I removed my side panel but from 2 days the issuses have been increased it crashes doesnt stop crashes on bootup too and my pc has been lagging very much it crashed just now i restarted it and touched the gpu and it crashed again….. is it a gpu problem

Its not dead screen issue

It happens randomly while watching youtube or anything on browser (brave,chrome).

Event that might have lead to this, I started using brave, didnot use it as default, started using it to watch adless youtube when after a week this black screen stuff started to happen, then i didnt know why it was happening so i just ignored it, then i saw it was majorly happening while using youtube on brave, so i shifted to chrome because after a week on brave the black screen was inevitable as soon as 5 seconds of opening in brave. Then i switched to chrome, it solved it but not totally, now it happens randomly , not many times but few, not annoying.

Clues:-

1. I can access taskbar apps previews, even hover over to the preview and watch the preview at maximum screen size but clicking brings the black screen.
2. I can use windows start button to shutdown restart, whats surprising is , i can see the small interface which we get after clicking on start button while the screen for rest of every thing is black.
3. Theres a small, tiny sneak peek line in the right side of the screen clicking upon which i can right click my mouse and refresh and stuff, even open apps that are placed on that side of screen.
4. turns back normal just after restarting.
5. Also, sliding gesture on touchpad helps to bring the taskbar and taskbar apps.

My PC keeps restarting randomly, and doesnt seem to have a consistent trigger. Sometimes its five minutes sometimes 30, but it just powers off and immediately starts again.

But then sometimes the screen freezes and the pc stays on, and turning my monitor on and off, as well as unplugging it does nothing.

Ive also had issues with the wifi, and i think the wifi adapter is partially broken, like not connected/rattles around

I highly suspect its a motherboard or psu issue but i want to be sure before i buy a new part

Hey I already checked google and asked AI and did not find any answer.
Just finished building my first PC and first time it booted to bios fine, then it showed no video input, I restarted few times and it showed bios again. After I came from work again no vido input.
It’s just randomly doing this, any ideas what it can be ?
Sorry if this is bad questions, I’m really new into this.
First time I had to move my RAM to a2 slot and that helped. But I have no idea why is it random.
