Can't get into Asus Bios

Before explaining my problem let me write down my PC specs:

  1. Ryzen 5 5600

  2. Corsair Vengance LPX - 3200MHZ (16x2) Total 32 GB RAM

  3. Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 3070ti

  4. Asus Prime B550M-A WiFi II

  5. Crucial P3 Plus - 1 TB Nvme

  6. Crucial BX500 - 240 GB SATA SSD

  7. Seagate Baracuda - 1 TB HDD

\*\*Problem:\*\*

So I was playing games on my PC the other day when suddenly the Pc just force restarted, I didn't lose power or anything. It booted up after restarting and again after 2 mins of booting it again restarted and the third time I couldnt even login to windows it just force restarted itself. After a few more times of force restarting itself, it entered that windows recovery setting and I tried to enter the Bios Coz I thought it might be because of XMP, but as I clicked the Statup repair setting on windows my Pc got stuck. And from since then, I haven't been able to get into the Bios Properly, I had to use many workarounds but it isn't working.

\*\*Tried Solutions\*\*:

  1. Reseated Ram, Gpu and even cleared CMOS still wasn't able to get into the Bios.

  2. Thought it was my Hard Drive causing the problem since its pretty old, disconnected it still wasn't able to get into the BIOS.

  3. Disconnected all my Storage Devices, and then tried to boot, Got the Amercian Megatrends page and pressed F1 (image attached) I was finally able to get into BIOS for a brief moment, as soon as I restarted I was again stuck in the Asus Splash screen and none of my keyboard inputs were working. Also tried diffefent USB ports including front panel ones in case USB Ports were shorted, sometimes I could get into the BIOS and sometimes stuck in the splash screen.

  4. Don't think my Storage Devices are bad since I tried them on a different PC and all of them were working. So what's the issue? And how can I Fix?

Need help disabling BitLocker

I’m trying to update my bios and was told I should back up my bitlocker then disable it. The problem is the windows search bar does not work. I’ve tried dozens of ways to fix that problem and pretty much gave up, but with that not working I now need a work around to try and get to my bitlocker drive encryption. If you have any work around for either problem that would be greatly appreciated, thank you. I’m fairly new to the pc life so please be patient if this sounds stupid.

In the game Ride 4 it constantly stutters and the audio glitches constantly after about 15 minutes of playing . I have reinstalled both new and old versions of adrenaline / drivers, I have used DDU without internet connected to try both old and new versions of the drivers, I have used the AMD driver removal software again without internet and tried both old and new driver versions , I have even Flashed my BIOS , I’ve checked all the cables are plugged in , I’ve disabled hard ware acceleration on everything and yet nothing has changed, I also have tried running one monitor instead of both and nothing again please help me!!!!! I’m not the smartest when it comes to pc softwares and the solutions AMD gave me did nothing I have a sapphire pulse rx 7800xt 16gb and run a ryzen 7 5700xt , motherboard is MSI b550-m pro VDH, I have 32gb of corsair vengeance rgb pro 3200mhz cl16 DDR4, my PSU is a triton 850rx, i run windows 10 64bit, and i use 2x Phillips freesync ips monitors.

The build went smooth. I have an APC/UPS 1350 from Schneider Electric connected with a PowerChute software. Installed Windows 11 Pro via Media Creation Tool with License Key. Enabled EXPO, HDR, Download Drivers, Updated BIOS, Installed BitDefender because my family has a License for another device, Downloaded Discord, Steam, Xbox App, and BitWarden. Bought Minecraft, and started playing. Once per day I have been experiencing idle crashes with various different error codes and different Mini Dump analyzation results that were puzzling, even with windows verifier running in an attempt to locate something more specific and concrete in Mini Dumps. One by one I diagnosed things and still got crashes after every move. I disabled EXPO, I reinstalled all the drivers-(AMD Chipset/NVIDIA/LAN/Ethernet/Audio/Bluetooth/ASUS Support Divers), I uninstalled BitDefender and activated Microsoft Security, Checked Microsoft Integrity by Running SFC & DISM, I checked the SSD Health with Powershell, I did physical RAM tests with MemTest86 on two separate 4 Pass runs, Considered Memory Context Restore & Power Down Mode, configured Windows Power Settings, OCCT Stress & Thermal Tests on CPU, GPU, & VRAM, Booted with One Stick of RAM in slot A2, and the step I’m currently on awaiting another potential crash is Onboarding with the GPU completely removed. I have absolutely no idea what to do if it does or doesn’t crash with this next test because if it does I suspect CPU Memory Controller or Motherboard DIMM Slot issues. If it doesn’t. I’ve isolated the issue to the GPU, which I would still have no resolution to because rather than a faulty component, I would think it’s some kind of settings I’m unaware of when the PC is idle. Here are compiles of SOME of the different readings analyzed from Mini Dumps, but I believe they are more misleading than one would initially suspect:

i’ve tried resetting my CMOS and that didn’t work.
i’ve tried putting the display cable and a HDMI cable into the motherboard and was met with the same thing.
i tried removing my graphics card and booting it and was still met with the same thing.

Pc Stuck at POST VGA light

My PC powers on, but the GPU fails to initialize, and the motherboard's VGA diagnostic light remains on. The system was running without any issues just two days ago. Yesterday morning, when it first failed to boot, I removed the GPU and confirmed the PC runs flawlessly on the integrated graphics (iGPU). I then took the GPU to a local repair shop where it tested perfectly. After bringing it home and reinstalling it, my PC worked completely fine again.

Unfortunately, the exact same issue has returned today: no display, and the VGA light is solid. I have already tried running a single stick of RAM, double-checking all power cables, reseating the GPU, and clearing the CMOS, but nothing is working. Occasionally, the GPU fans will spin for a minute before stopping, but other times they don't budge at all Edit: Tried different PCIe slot

Settings issue, Components issue or Optimisation issue?

Specs:

- i9 12900f
- 5070ti
- 32GB DDR5
- SSD's

I am by no means a tech genius, but I feel like I know my way around computers. I feel like I am not getting what I should be out of my components. I play on 1080p 240hz monitor, so by no means high quality, and I still feel like I am getting poor performance for what I have. Recently I have been playing Rust and getting 90-110 fps on very low settings whilst my gpu and cpu utilization sit around 30-40% respectively. My main game is CS2 where i get between 250-300 fps (I feel this especially should be higher). I seem to get fairly high fps on valorant, and poor fps on league of legends. I think (correct me if I am wrong) there is a common theme between these badly performing games that they are more CPU intensive, but I am under the impression that my CPU is fairly good. Speaking of my CPU, it seems quite scarcely documented on, not alot of information online or youtube videos about the 12900f, there are a normal amount for the 12900k, ks, kf etc. It is to my understanding that the f just means there isn't a built in GPU in the CPU, so I don't understand why it would perform worse. I have undervolted my CPU with assistance from someone that knows more than me and it has moderated the temps which previously were too high, pretty sure this is common in i9 12th gen. Undervolting didn't massively impact performance but the lower temps are nice.

It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could:
A) Try to help me troubleshoot bad performance
B) Correct me if my expectations of my components are too high
C) Provide more information about specifically the i9 12900f and why it might not be so good(?)

I'm pretty sure most people will say get x3d card because with CPU bound games the 3d v-caching is good or whatever, but I don't think that will be possible for me and I struggle to believe that 3d v-caching makes that much of a difference. Thank you guys!

EDIT:

- I am fairly sure I have XMP enabled, will check in BIOS today.

I have no idea what’s wrong

I bought this pc in December from marketplace and it was good to me for a couple months. It started to randomly shut down after a few minutes of light gaming (Roblox and Valorant) and it just progressively got worse until we got to here. I have no idea what it could be. Any help is appreciated.
Specs:
Cpu: i7 10700k
Gpu: 3060ti
Ram: 16gb (8x2) Gskill TridentZ, 3200mhz
Power supply: EVGA Supernova G2 750w

I replaced the power supply to 1000w and it still isn’t working.

Windows 11 RTX 5070 Timeout On Startup?

Hey everyone!

I bought a new PC 9 months ago and so far it's been working like a charm. I've been able to play all the games I want to play at high settings with normal temperatures and no hiccups whatsoever... that is, except for one little quirk. Recently, I've been having freezes during Windows startup. It's very weird, basically the first time I had a black screen before loading WIndows and my monitor lost video signal. I restarted the PC and everything worked fine. Afterwards I checked the reliability monitor and I had a LiveKernelEvent 1B0. The bucket ID was: LKD_0x1B0_DxgkrnlLiveDump:804_Status_0xC000009A_
Driver_nvlddmkm_failed_DdiStartDevice_StartDevice_Failure_
dxgkrnl!DxgCreateLiveDumpWithDriverBlob.

After that, the computer worked fine, again, I run everything I want to play almost maxed out with zero issues, but I had a similar issue again today. This time, my monitor didn't lose signal, but it started lagging a lot. Windows started as if in slow motion and moving the mouse around felt like I was using Windows 98. Again, I restarted the computer, and everything was back to normal. This time I had various hardware errors on Reliability Monitor. The error was different, it was LiveKernelEvent141 and the bucket ID is "LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys_Blackwell".

I have uninstalled Nvidia drivers in safe mode with DDU and updated the BIOS. I also had a slight underclock on the graphics card on MSI Afterburner which I reset.

Does anyone have any insight on what could be happening? I can't find other people talking about this because it's such a specific issue. I've wondered if the GPU has a hardware defect, but at the same time I can't imagine one that would only rarely affect Windows startup and not show any issues other than that while in heavy load. I've used FurMark and had no artifacts nor crashes. I also don't feel confident in sending it to RMA because it's almost impossible to replicate. I've tried initializing Windows numerous times to see if I could get it to happen again but it happens so rarely and at random that it's almost impossible.

My hardware is:

AMD Ryzen 7600x

MSI GeForce RTX 5070 VENTUS 2X OC 12GB GDDR7

Corsair CX750 750 W 80 Plus Bronze

WD BLACK SN770 2TB NVMe SSD

Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MHz 32 GB 2x16GB CL36 Memória Dual AMD EXPO e Intel XMP

Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX

Thank for the help!

Hey folks,

This performance monitor popped up on my PC today, and I have no idea what program it's attached to. I don't remember pressing any odd keyboard combos so I'm hoping someone else has had this show up and know what it is, Thanks!

Unity crashes my pc?(R9 380 4GB Vram)

I have my pc as a sorta "Hand me down" from a family member who previously owned it,Now,for context I have A radeon R9 380 a just as old(but not worn down)psu and a core i7 6700k cpu, however my pc was having crashes for a while, like genuinely months and eventually i learned there was a buildup of dust on the power supply, fixed that entirely and everything runs fine now,Except subnautica,As soon as I hit the water my pc totally shuts down,I ran a steam demo called Re Story about restoring consoles and that had a crash out of nowhere the only real consistent "cause" seems to be unity?? Is that a normal thing on older GPU's? For context it can handle a game of fortnite on all low settings w the auto d resolution and works fine.same with roblox,(I play it with friends and it crashed once on a game called redliner)I'm just curious because I Know the psu isnt the problem and its weird its only Unity that does that

I need help please !

Lately, for like 2 months now, my PC would randomly freeze while playing a game. It used to happen once every 2 weeks, then once a week, then every day, and now it’s like every 3 games. I really wanna know the problem. Please, if anyone can help me, I’d be very, very, very grateful forever. I can also screen share my PC if that helps. 💕 I can’t replace parts, I don’t really have the money, and I really don’t think it’s my PC parts. So please, if anyone’s got some free time and can help, please let me know. DMs are also open ^^

Impossible to boot, orange light on motherboard

Hi,

For the past few days, I've been having a problem with my PC. I'm unable to boot after enabling XMP to run my RAM at its rated speed of 3666 MHz.

I found that changing this setting can sometimes cause this issue, but now I'm stuck because I can't boot into the BIOS to disable it.

I've already tried:

  • Moving the RAM sticks to different slots
  • Booting with only one RAM stick
  • Replacing the RAM sticks
  • Clearing the CMOS by shorting the pins with a screwdriver
  • Removing the CMOS battery

Unfortunately, none of these steps solved the problem.

My PC specifications:

  • Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (or Ryzen 5 5600/5600X if that's what you actually have, because "Ryzen 5 5800" doesn't exist)
  • GPU: Sapphire RX 7800 XT (if that's what you meant; there is no RX 7080 XT)
  • RAM: 2 × 16 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3666

PC will not boot

I’m rather ignorant when it comes to computers and so are a good chunk of my friends
I’ve been having an issue where my PC will power cycled a, but will not boot

This happens on occasion but typically unplugging it for a few minutes solves the issue

As of yesterday, however, nothing I have done has solved the issue
My fans and case lights are on, and my GPU’s lights are also on, but nothing else seems to be happening
It’s been power cycling for about 24 hours without any progress, and I do not know what to do

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dgW328
These are the parts, aside from the GPU which is a GFORCE RTX 4080

I have shuffled my RAM sticks in their spots, still keeping in mind the pairs they came in, I’ve restarted my bios, I’ve left it unplugged from the wall for several minutes

The only thing that happens is the DRAM being on, and, on power in, will flick to the CPU light to it’s left for a moment before returning to the DRAM light that remains on until the PC powers down

Any and all help to repair this issue would be appreciated, I need this PC for work and don’t have the budget for replacement parts right now
