Laptop force restarted while playing DMC 5 and now my whole laptop is running slower than usual.

Hey everyone, so I was playing DMC 5 on my Acer Nitro V15 when all of a sudden the game froze, had like some purple outlines or glitches on my screen then force restarted. After restarting, I noticed that my laptop was slower than usual, so I tried restarting it again, but nothing happened. I checked if some of my files got corrupted, and yeah some were corrupted. After fixing the corrupted files, I restarted once again and nothing changed. I even checked my hard drive and I still had a lot of space available. I genuinely don’t know whats happening and if someone could help me, I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

M.2 kinda not showing.

My PC is working fine. Just bought a new case, AIO. Updated the bios before transferring the components to a new case.

Cleaned all the components before transferring. Re-sited every thing, m.2 drive, ram, gpu, cpu, SSDs, HDDs.

After transferring all the components, my PC is working just fine.

Now I wanted to format my PC but the m.2 drive(where my OS is currently installed) is not showing as a location for windows installation.

So I installed a new OS on a different drive for now(So I have 2 OS now on different drives). Once I’m on the desktop I went to disk manager to try to format my M2 drive and it’s not showing on the list of available drives.

Here are some informations that may help:

  1. I have the latest sata driver from mobo’s website.
  2. While using the OS from that m.2 drive, I can see the drive from disk manager.
  3. Bitlocker is off as I checked.
  4. M.2 drive is showing in bios

*Note
My PC is working fine. It’s just I want to re install a fresh OS on that m.2 drive

Dram light on and I’m not sure why please help

I came home one day and turned on my pc, it had no display but all of the lights were on and the fans were spinning but the Dram light was on so naturally I immediately went to check the ram and took each one out individually to test them and one worked and one didn’t. I used my pc with one stick of ram for that night perfectly fine but then the next day when I came home I had no display all over again. I started with cleaning everything and tired lots of fixes I saw online such as removing the cmos battery and putting it back in and switching the ram sticks to different slots to see if the slots themselves were dead. Nothing worked so the next day I took both sticks of ram to a friend’s pc and each stick of ram worked perfectly after I tested them each individually. Then I figured it was my motherboard and replaced my old one (Asus B850) with a new one (Asus X870E). I used it minimally for a couple of days without the new drivers because I didn’t have a flash drive at the moment and I was waiting on a friend to bring a flash drive with windows to do a fresh windows install. I know both of my monitors work and their cables work too. However this morning I tried turning on my pc with the new motherboard and my whole pc working for two days just fine, it had no display again and I’m unsure what it may be now besides my CPU but I want to make sure before I buy a whole new one I have a Ryzen 5 9600X that I bought brand new around June last year so it’s less than a year old.

No Display

I have r5 3500x and asus prime b550mk and a 2x4gb 3200mhz 1Rx16 ddr4 ram. I tried to turn it on and it gives me no display not even at the bios just black screen. I tried to switch different ram slots and simultaneously use my 2 sticks of ram and still no use. i tried to turn on the pc with only cpu mobo and gpu and it gives me a 1 long beep and 2 short beep just once. I put the ram back and it doesn't beep but still no display. The gpu is fine i use it everyday in my old setup.

Now, i went to a repair shop, and they only use the cpu motherboard, video cable connected to the board and their own ram and they solely rely on caps lock of the keyboard and no gpu till they get a no response

Computer repeatedly restarts when trying to boot up

My kid has an HP Victus budget gaming laptop. It has developed this issue in which it automatically restarts over and over when attempting to boot up, saying "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart" with one of various error messages displayed at the bottom. This sometimes goes on for hours repeatedly restarting before finally booting up into Windows. The problem seems to have been getting progressively worse.

I'm attaching some images of the various error messages it spits out.

I've tried a factory reset on the computer, I've tried replacing the SSD (which I was going to do anyway for more storage), I've tried re-seating the RAM. The laptop has two RAM sticks, and I've tried booting it using only one of each of the RAM sticks at a time in case one of them was faulty. None of that has worked.

All of the diagnostics I've run have come back clean.

One other interesting observation is that if I try to open the BIOS settings, the system crashes immediately upon opening it. The system clock is frozen and I'm unable to do anything at all.

Any ideas?

My PC won’t start, yellow lights on mono when it gets power

My PC suddenly shut off by itself a few days ago, and at first it would start up for a sec and then turn off, and now it won’t even turn on.
Are the yellow lights supposed to highlight the problems with the PC? Any idea what the problems are?
I read it could be anything from the psu to the mobo not working, I’ve tried reseating my ram and gpu to no avail, including pulling out my cmos battery and reseating it.
Please help 🙏🙏🙏

PC issues

im having issues with my PC, It was working fine last night but i’ve tried turning it on today and the monitors aren’t connecting. I’ve re-sat the Gpu and RAM, cables are all fine and monitors are working fine as well it just won’t connect to the display. The lights and fans work but I’ve noticed my keyboard also won’t turn on when connected to the usb port. I’m pretty much useless when it comes to PC stuff, ive done what youtube tutorials have told me to do and i’m pretty much stumped now.

I initially thought it was the CMOS but after swapping my old one out with the one that was in my boyfriend’s computer nothing happened.

If anyone knows what might be going on let me know and maybe guide me through fixing it if you have the time and patience 😖

Fully Freezing System

My started to freeze after leaving a game open, when i came back I forced shutdown my pc then after reopening it, minutes later it happens again and repeats every time now.

Troubleshooting Ive already done:
- Run DISM then sfc scan
- Reseating gpu and ram
- Alternate Ram and their slots
- Clear CMOS
- run on igpu without gpu installed
- ssd is at 96% based from CrystalDisk
- Disabled all 3rd party services in msconfig

Note that it runs perfectly inside safe mode, it only happens in normal boot even without doing any task. Activity light for ssd on case also stops working when it freezes.

This pc is already old and do plan on upgrading it but i need to save up first. I use my pc for school and need it for my course, I rarely play games these days. Any help will do!

PC freezing and idk what to do anymore

pc started act up after I left it running for like 30mins while doing sumthing irl, when I came back it already froze and the only option i have is to force it to shut down via power button. The pc now persistently freezes after sometime whenever i use it, it doesnt event last 10 mins until it decides to freeze up again. The activity indicator also stops working when it freezes. I managed to run CrystalDiskInfo to check and i got 96% for my ssd, though this doesnt mean the ssd isn’t bad but this freezing thing only happens after a windows update the night before the first occurrence. I wanted to do an sfc scan but idrk if it can finish before finishing. I need all of your expertise to let this system free again. All troubleshooting that Iv’e done is reseating the gpu and ram, ditching my gou and using igpu (still freezes), letting it load up a bit but it still freezes after sometime with me even doing anything besides logging in to user.

Friend’s Pc is very unstable

My friend keeps experiencing constant instability in his system which has seemed to progressively get worse over time. He’s asking me to make a post to Reddit to see if anyone could help, with the issues he’s been experiencing attached below in his words:

• Shutdown from windows does not work, have to hard shutdown.
• Yellow dram on restart until I turn it off manually
• Pc will on occasion crash under graphical load and my gpu drivers will stop working, like some sort of corruption. Forcing me to DDU them and reinstall to get them working again
• Game crashes Random intervals

When I first purchased and built the pc I had to manually set speeds as expo was not working and wouldn’t let my pc post. New issues such as driver corruption and not restarting and newish (5 months ago)

Now back to me:

He personally believes the issue is his system ram, and while that could very well be the issue considering everything, I also feel he should try updating his firmware, which he has never done before. For some reason he has been reluctant to do so, believing that the issue stems from just ram alone. Now we’re just wondering what anybody else has to say about this?

Specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
MSI Caron B650E WiFi
AMD XFX 7900xtx
GSKILL X5 Flare 32gb x 6000MT/s CL36-36-36-96

Need help with dual monitor alignment

I recently bought a 1440x2560p monitor and i juts put my old one beside it with is a curved 1080p monitor, both are same size, i tried aligning it by going into nvidia control panel then making a 1440p resolution for the 1080p one to trick my pc into thinking its 1440p to make them the same size in the display settings but this made it very pixelated and the colors looked smudged? They align but because of these problems i just need a different fix that both makes them aligned and not look weird, thanks.

Display randomly stops working since monitor upgrade

Hi,

I recently bought an Asus XG27AQDMGR screen, and since then my display crashes quite regularly while gaming. Most of the time the screen just goes blank, sometimes it shows artefacts (always the same ; picture attached). The PC keeps running, I can hear the sound of the game. Nothing changes until I disconnect DP cable. Then the PC or the graphical driver crashes.

Everything is up to date (even the display firmware). I tried making a fresh install of nvidia driver with revo, it happens less since then but still. No overclock. It often happens right after an ingame loading but not always.

I have a 4060 with 12400f 32gb for 2 years, 80plus alim for 5 years or so, no problems before.

Would somebody have any idea to help ?

Is there any problem with my graphic card??

Hi all,

I havent switch my pc in like 5-6 month and i bought a new monitor (AW2725DF) as I wanted to play again.

When i tried to connect dp cable to my graphic card, it did not connect at all to both dp slots. But when I tried to motherboard it was started working. When I used it with old screen 6 month back, it was working fine in gpu.

When I switch my pc on the graphic card fans starts to spin and when computer on main screen they stop. I tried to run timespy to test it and they didnt turn on and my score literally under 1k for gpu.

My specs are:

Cpu 7800x3d

Gpu 7900xtx

Ram 64gb ddr5

Windows 11 pro.

I updated gpu to the 3.5.1 ver I think and I havent updated bios since I bought it (2024)

I will include pics and a video.

Any help would be much appreciated
