Blood tests in July. Want to do a 14-day-fast now. Advisable?

My doctor is traditional.

I still have some fat to shed.

Have scheduled blood work in July. Nothing specific, but I like to get blood work done around my birthday to feel good.

Have a month. Wanted to go on a 14-day-fast today onwards. Would that affect my blood tests.

Been on multiple 7-day fasts before. Sugar levels drop. Didn't notice any change in the thyroid or lipid profile before.

Read that on extended fasts, lipid profile goes for a toss. How do I handle that? Or, shall I reschedule my blood work?

I am a female btw.

Can't hear people when they call on whatapp business. Normal whatsapp is fine. What's going on?

Guys, I don't want to delete the app, is there any other solution?

Roasted makhanas: review

I was leaving super early for work today. So, ordered roasted makhanas so that I can carry them with me.

Got these ones from Let's Try. Always order Farmley ones.

These turned out to be so so so tiny. Never knew makhanas can be this tiny ever.

I just love eating makhanas out of those cylindrical boxes. Lol.

Have kept one to fill in home made ones.

Never ordering these ones ever again.

Beat this heat with khus curtains

My cousin recently shifted into a PG in Delhi. Her fam is in Mumbai.

She couldn't take the heat and the AC would be delivered in a week' time...delivery and installation etc.

We got her Khus curtains and installed in her balcony...omg! Game changer. You have to splash water every two hours but the house is like atleast 7 degrees cooler. Yesterday, the temperature of the room was 35 degrees.

Update: It could be useful for students who can't afford ACs. I am not promoting any brand or anything. It did bring down the temperature of that room. Jugaad. You can't have your parents splash water on it every hour. It is just a jugaad and works really well.

I have been put off metformin.

So, I have been working in my insulin and body fat.

Hb1ac dropped to 5.3 from 6.5.

Yesterday, I felt so low and out of it. Got my blood tests done at the hospital. My hb1ac showed up at 4.5.

The doctor has put me off metformin.

Am thinking if I should stop taking berberine too or wait for my endo.

Discovered something about facial hair

So, I have got my insulin under control.

Have been doing weights.

10-12k steps a day.

Periods on time.

Ovulating on day 14.

Neck and underarms way normal than before. Can flaunt sleeveless dresses and backless without being embarrassed.

But, facial hair is still a mess.

So, someone told me use a tweezer. Don't shave.

I tweezed all the chin hair last week.

Not a single strand of chin hair even today.

Guess, shaving was making it grow up.

In fact been like 9 days now, hair on the chin has not grown up. Chin is smooth.

I am going to try waxing next time I get hair. May be it will last longer. Like say a Month or so.

Just wanted to share this with you.

Rolling fasts

I plan to start my rolling 7 day fasts today. The idea is to drop some weight I put back in the last few months.

Never done rolling fasts before. Have done many 7-day fasts.

What should I keep in mind, how many rolling 7-day fasts is okay for the body? I don't want to mess up with the system. Also, what supplements should I take?

Anything specific to be kept in mind to ensure I don't get gall bladder stones. Heard people do.

Hairfall question

I lost over 15 kilos last year and trigger high UA levels. Discovered by chance. Never had any pain in joints.

My doctor put me on febu 40. Been on it for over six months now.

UA fell from 7.5 to 4.3. Has stayed that way for over weeks now.

My doc said time to wean off.

Everything else is fine. However, I have noticed something.

My hairfall went to zero all these months. Now that I stopped Febu, my hairfall has started.

Got tested for other deficiencies.

Got myself Vit D and B prescribed.

But my hair was way healthier on Febu.

My doc says not related. I know it is related.

Any similar experiences?
