I've read a ton of timeloop fics recently and I love them. Anytime I read a loop fic I always wonder about those loopdays and if they then branch off into multiple alternate timelines.
For example, in a fic I read recently, shane (the looper) turns up to the boston teams practice and kisses ilya in front of his team, but as he is leaving gets whacked in the head with a puck by accident and collapses/dies on the ice and it makes me wonder what the outcome to that loop day would be for everyone who witnessed it. Like surely there would be a police report, the team would be making witness statements about seeing shane come and kiss ilya then the accident happens. It's an interesting thing to think about.
So I was thinking, it would be so interesting to see a Timeloop fic where all the chapters are Outsider POV.
I'm trying to wrap my head around the whole thing, like how all those different days would somehow impact the final story. Or if it was more of an open ended weird, confusing fic, or even like a choose your own adventure.
The way I imagine it, it has social media elements throughout and Shane as the looper.
It opens up, with a reddit post from a throwaway account (shane). And the whole post is along the lines of.. I'm stuck in a timeloop and I dont know how to get out. And going through everything he's done, with comments and advice from commentors.
Then as I said every chapter is a different POV (i imagine there can be multiple Ilya POVs because obvi)
I've only come up with a few ideas but heres what I imagine for different POVS.
-- Marlow - Shane dies in this loop, and he's there watching/supporting Ilya in the aftermath.
-- JJ - Shane comes out to him (this loop shane is teying to see peoples reactions?)
-- A newspaper article about Shanes erratic behaviour and how he's had a mental breakdown and been sectioned.
-- A random hotel concierge or shop clerk who serves Shane (and recognises him and wonders why he isnt at the game?)
-- Yuna & David- shane has driven all the way to ottawa just to spend time with him
(If yall think of any other potential interesting POVS tell me!)
Anyway it's been on my mind a lot so I needed to get it all down. I dont know what the outcome would be or the conclusion or what. But it's kind of fun to think about.
If someone wants to take this idea and run with it feel free. I might write it but I doubt I'll get around to it as I've got other things I'm working on currently.

Has anyone seen or heard of the tv show "Extraordinary"?
I've seen snippets of it online so from what I've seen the general premise is that everyone develops a superpower when they turn 18.
The basis of the show is that the main character still doesn't have a power.
Anyway I was thinking about how Ilya has the best gaydar in the series and wouldnt it be funny if there was a fic that was somewhat inspired by the show.
Ilyas superpower is literally "gaydar" instantly knowing everyones sexuality and bodycount/sexual history upon meeting them. But because he himself is bisexual he doesn't want to make people feel uncomfortable so he tells everyone he doesn't have a power.
Obviously shanes superpower is sonething hockey related, idk what exactly, but like, he is a literal hockey god, but he also still wants to be taken seriously so he also tells people he doesn't have a power.
Anyway thought it was a fun prompt idea.

Yuna - is actually psychic
David - has a calming presence, anyone around him is just calmer

I've been reading fanfic for years now, and I'll admit (even though I'll probably get hate for it) that I use to always read harry potter fanfic (fuck jkr obviously) witha sprinkling of crossovers into twilight, avengers (even tho i never watch the movies) and other fandoms.
I'm most definitely a multishipper in that fandom and read tons of different pairings and multis, but i mostly read drarry or harrymort (or tomarry or tomarrymort).
