Lots of listings from new accounts for Steam Decks…

If you’re looking on eBay, just be smart about who you’re buying from. I was looking to see if I could snag a used I like for a good price before they go crazy and saw a LOT of brand new accounts selling them for $350-$500.

Issues with brand new die cutter?

Upon receiving it, I cut a few sheets of paper first like instructed. I’m using matte presentation paper and Amazon basics lamination sheets. None of them are cutting smooth and leaving the excess like in the photo.

Any ideas what’s happening?

Advice on guide marks while using dye cutter?

Received my dye cutter today and I can’t seem to get a cut without the guides from proxxied. How does everyone else avoid these?

Sharpening die cutter?

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered a die cutter $116 🤢

I’ve heard that they go dull and are a pain in the butt to sharpen. I know there’s no point worrying about it yet, but have any of you sharpened yours yet? How difficult was it?

Anywhere to get a die cutter for less than $115?

I’m seeing them on alibaba for $50 but then another $60+ after taxes, import, shipping. Haven’t had luck finding any on eBay. Anywhere else to look or do I just bite the bullet?

Hey all!

I used to post in /r/nicotinepouch (before quitting) and that caused my profile to have a nsfw tag on it. Is there anyway I can find all posts or comments of mine in a specific sub so that I can delete them and get rid of the tag?

Thanks!

Hey everybody. I got started in February with an Epson 3850.

I’ve been using Epson premium presentation matte with scotch 3 mil laminating paper and a Fellowes Sola 95 laminator and the plastic, 3 sized corner cutter. I started with a cheap $10 cutter but just upgraded to a Dahle 507.

Since getting all the materials I needed (had the printer already) I’ve printed 22 decks all using the same method and I’ve been mostly happy with the results.

As for improving, I could use some advice.

I’ve never adjusted the printer or Proxxied settings anything worth changing?. Is it easier to do 4x2 opposed to 3x3?

I struggle with getting straight cuts a lot of the time. The paper will look like it’s in the laminate paper perfectly straight until I go to cut it, then I have to angle it and get a LOT of inconsistent cuts that are partially hidden by sleeves. Any advice for getting straighter cuts? As you can see in the photo, this particular one ended up way too small. Not sure if this was due to a setting, or me butchering it. Actually having a tougher time getting correct cut sizes with the Dahle than I did the $10 plastic cheap one from Wal Mart.

Corner cutting is driving me nuts lately. Less nuts than cutting, but I haven’t been able to justify a Silhouette, and the die cutter is $120 after taxes/shipping.

Paper / laminate anything better / better value? I’m not unhappy with it, but am willing to switch it up. Only complaints is card looks too glossy, and I’d prefer a more cardstock feel, but haven’t tried cardstock as the initial video I watched used the paper I’ve been using.
