Gave My OC’s Pokémon Partners, despite not knowing much about Pokémon

I ain’t the biggest Pokémon expert but I dug around a bit and found matches for some of my OC’s

1: Towa Haruka, his quirk is “Halt” which works similarly to Gojo’s infinity, except it cuts out Air, Light, and Sound as well, so it’s much more limited. His partner Pokémon is Meowstic (Male) who I just learned existed. But it’s a defense oriented psychic Pokémon with a bit of an ominous side, seems perfect.

2: Daken Tensei, his quirk is “Hyper Regen” which you can probably guess what it does. He is enamored with the thrill of melee combat, and thus I gave him a partner with a similar drive. Annihilape not only loves fighting but also literally gets stronger the more you hit it. Daken is definitely the type to literally fight his Pokemon for training so they’d get along very well.

3: Youta Jūryoku, his quirk is “Recall” which lets him pull objects he touches to his hand like Thors Hammer, which he uses the most with his humble katana. His partner is Keldeo, a fellow Swordsman who shares his majestic flowing locks.

4: Asen Daguchi, her quirk is “Holy Arsenal”, lets her summon hard light bladed weapons using the sunlight her skin absorbs. Shes a huge, physically fit powerhouse, and so I gave her a tiny, squishy, glass cannon special attacker partner, that happens to match her color scheme.

This was fun, maybe I’ll do more at some point. Check out my fanfic, Year One, for more about my OC’s.

Would Any Of Them Be Given an Enchanted Blade, and if so, how powerful would they be?

Assuming they survived. Obviously.

The “Chi” trio of New Gen Manga are all Fantastic.

Gachi, Bachi, and Ichi (Gachiakuta, Kagurabachi, and Ichi the Witch) what I’ve decided to call the “chi” trio of new gen manga. I’ve recently caught up on all 3, and I must say that they are all fantastic.

As of right now, Gachiakuta is my favorite. Its world, characters, and style are incredibly unique. It’s got a vibe all to its own. Though its art, characters, action, and themes are all great, what’s pulled me in the most is the engaging mystery and lore. The story is full of so many interesting questions and we’re given little hints like breadcrumbs along the way. I’ve been sharing theories with my friends and reading ones on the gachi Reddit and it’s a blast. I haven’t been this invested in the mystery of an animanga since AOT, which is crazy praise coming from me.

Kagurabachi is gonna be HUGE. I can already tell it’s probably gonna reach jjk levels of popularity once the anime releases. Utterly insane artwork, incredible action, breakneck pacing, and a ton of real emotion and interesting themes under it all. Enough time has passed.

Ichi the Witch is classic shonen in all the best ways. It started slower than the others, but it quickly picked up and I’ve fallen in love with it. The characters are amazing, super fun with great personalities that bounce off each other in entertaining ways. Powersystem is unique, making the fights wild and totally different from each other. It’s also surprisingly dark at times, which I appreciate.

I genuinely think with these three series, Shonen is in good hands, and I give a STRONG recommendation to all three of these series.

Mymo Destroys A bunch of Stone Pillars

In the Gachiakuta manga, God Mymo launches an attack that destroys ~dozen or so of these huge stone pillars. They’re shown to be far larger than buildings in a wide shot, I tried to give a few panels for scale. Where could this scale?

If Rudo ever gets on Death Battle, what are the 3 items he should use?

Chihiro vs Rudo “Sins of the Father” has quickly become one of my favorite potential Death Battles and my preferred for Gachiakuta to appear, if this ever comes to pass (or a different episode with Rudo happens instead) what 3 items should Rudo use in the fight? Most iconic? Most powerful? Most Badass? What do y’all think?

When the story acknowledges that a character living is more important than heroically sacrificing themselves.

Koichi (Godzilla Minus One): A failed kamikaze pilot, he lives the rest of his life wracked in immense survivor’s guilt. He sees defeating Godzilla as his chance to atone and die, but his friends and adopted daughter convince him to choose life instead.

All Might (My Hero Academia): The previous greatest Hero in the world, Toshinori spent his whole life sacrificing for others. After retirement, he feels useless and pathetic. He nearly dies in one final stand against evil, but is saved at the last moment. He’s told that he isn’t some comic book mentor character, he’s a human. And that he deserves to live instead.

Of course I like regular self sacrifice, but I also like when it’s subverted like this.

It’s not like Asta can cut through fucking mountain sized Demons he’s clearly boulder level. Nice final chapters.

Could Enten from Kagurabachi become a Vital Imstrument? And if so, what happens?

For some context, Enten is the blade wielded by the mc Chihiro in Kagurabachi. It’s an Enchanted Blade created by his father before his murder. Chihiro is very fond of it and clearly cares for it as it’s basically his prized possession. It has a set of magical abilities tied to it, including ranged slashes, boosts to strength/speed, and absorbing/releasing attacks.

If you dropped him into the world of Gachiakuta, could Enten become a Vital Instrument? And if so, what would happen? Would it gain new abilities, or would the ones it already has be amplified? How powerful would Chihiro be after?

This question extends to other Enchanted Blades and other magic items in other series as well. What do yall think?

P.S I’m still early into Kagurabachi so try not to spoil it if you can

This is a feat from the latest arc of Gachiakuta where Mymo (that demonic looking thing) casually flicks his wrist and blasts a hole in a stadium.

Gachiakuta scaling is kinda flying under the radar, I wanted an idea of where a top tier in the verse might scale as of right now.
