Is there a rule for using advantages/powers as if they were computer software?

I’ve recently become interested in adapting Cyberpunk RED to GURPS 4e, and I’m considering how to handle "QuickHacks" (an ability in which the hacker hacks into the enemy's prosthetics and systems, incapacitating them or affecting their components in some way).

I’ve concluded that using Afflictions with modifiers is the right approach, but I’d like these Afflictions to interact mechanically with the Netrunner’s cyberdeck—as if the character had to execute the advantage like a program, using the hardware’s Complexity to run it.

Is there a supplement or an issue of Pyramid magazine that covers this type of rule?

Is there any way to make the game run more smoothly on Linux?

My computer is basically a potato with a built-in processor, but I could run Fallout: New Vegas at a playable level when I was using Windows.

After switching to Linux and having to use Proton to launch the game, performance dropped drastically—to the point where it's almost unplayable.

Is there any way to get the game running better on Linux?

Is it worth learning to use QGIS to create fantasy maps?

I recently discovered QGIS while looking for map-making software compatible with Linux. It was immediately clear that the program is geared toward professional or academic use; still, I wondered if it would be possible—or worth the effort—to create fantasy maps with it.

One factor that made me question the tool's suitability for this purpose was that most of the tutorials I found focused on working with existing map data rather than creating maps from scratch.

On the other hand, there is a video series by John Nelson Maps where he creates a Lord of the Rings-style map using GIS software (though not specifically QGIS), which made me a bit more optimistic about using the program for this type of project.

In any case, I’d love to hear the opinion of someone more familiar with the software. Do you think it would work for creating fantasy maps and whether it would be worth learning to use it for that purpose?

Which magazine articles about Forgotten Realms would you recommend to expand knowledge about the setting?

Recently, I had my first encounter with RPG magazines through Pyramid Magazine (from the GURPS system) and, after reading a few issues, I became curious to know which D&D magazine articles about the Forgotten Realms would be worth checking out.

The only one I've seen so far is in Dragon Magazine Annual 4, specifically the article "Speaking in Tongues," which discusses which families of real languages would be equivalent to the languages of the Realms; and I would appreciate suggestions for other articles you would recommend.

Is there a book that lists the most suitable types of adventures for each region of the Realms?

The book Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerûn contains descriptions of some regions of Faerûn, as well as the types of adventures that suit those regions (or the most common tropes associated with them).

This made me wonder if there were any books that listed this type of information about more regions of the Realms, since only a few regions were covered in Adventures in Faerûn.

Do you have any suggestions?

Which attribute should a character focused on Combat Medicine prioritize?

Initially, I was heavily investing in Engineering because I started the game as Tactical Pharma; but then I switched to Toughness when I specialized in Combat Medicine, thinking that this subclass would use that attribute to increase healing.

Recently, I read the game's wiki and noticed that it's recommended to increase both Toughness and Engineering to increase the character's survivability and healing capacity, respectively.

This has left me a bit confused, and honestly, I don't know which main attribute I should focus on. I recognize that Engineering would be convenient for improving the efficiency of Tactical Pharma (because sometimes the damage from this subclass is more convenient when playing solo), but I believed that Combat Medicine benefited from Toughness.

Therefore, I would like to clarify the functionality of the attributes. Which one should I prioritize exactly?

(Just to contextualize, I've known The Division franchise for some time, but my first experience with the game was with Resurgence; therefore, I'm not familiar with its mechanics.)
