Google Pixel 9a bricked ? Stuck in Fastboot loop
Hello,
My grandmother needed a new phone because the previous one was too old and she had no access to her bank app anymore.
I am an iPhone guy so I did some research before about which android would suit her need the most. I went for a MINT refurbished Pixel 9a from Amazon Warehouse.
I went for the setup where you sync everything from the old device, so she would have everything back easily because she for sure does not remember all the password etc... But during this, I got an error on the old device and the Pixel got stuck in the « deleting » process.
After a 8-10 minutes, I decided to shut down the Pixel because it was still stuck.
But after that, I tried to start it and it got stuck in a Fastboot loop mode. No matter what I chose (recovery mode, rescue mode, start, shut down) I got back to Fastboot with « Device State Locked » and « Boot Failure ».
I found quite some other users who went into the same problem. Apparently Google even aknowledged the issue. I try to flash it using the Google tool but at the last step, I could not start the procedure because I had to disable OEM lock but I had no access to the phone.
Amazon accepted to return it. But I want to be sure I tried everything.
Is there a way or is my Pixel 9a bricked ?
